Not much for N. Kentucky in Top 1st. Heck of a play by Yager to get a glove on a ground ball back up the middle. They called the runner safe, but it was bang-bang.

Our base stealing early in the season is pretty bad. I havent watched every inning but man it feel like Ive seen us thrown out at 2nd at 4 times.

Not much for MSU either. Kam James got caught trying to steal; Hancock got hit on the next pitch. So, a couple baserunners, but no threat.

0-0 after 1.

MSU with something cooking in B2. Already a run home. Runners at 2nd & 3rd, no outs.

Aaron Downs up. Freshman.

3-0. Downs with a shot back up the middle.

4 straight singles to start the inning.

I wish that TE playing in our outfield could hit. I remember reading recently on here that he was a hole in the batting lineup.

Still trying to wrap my head around that one too. .400 hitter who leads the team in BA and XBH while coming in second in a half dozen other categories.

I know he’s not perfect, but there a lot of other weak spots that I’d be complaining about before Cumbest these days

But he'll keep getting stronger and smarter at the plate throughout the season.
It is a long long season. And Lemonis is gonna help them grow and have them all hot at the right time.
We're gonna be damn pleased with Mule and many others come season's end.

The home plate Ump is being generous on that outside corner. Not that I'm complaining, jus sayin.

It’s rough watching a batter struggle at the plate like Clark right now. You can see the look on his face as if he knows that no one’s gonna give him anything to hit, but he also knows that he won’t be able to lay off of any of it. I don’t know what he needs right now, but he’s as lost at the plate as anybody I’ve ever seen

Brandon Smith looks sharp. Good looking fastball and nasty slider. And most importantly he’s pounding the strike zone.
