Red Raiders seems duplicitous. Like saying Romeoville lost. Its implied in its very nature
I see why some of these schools closed up these names are awful... The Olive Branch Branchers lol
I feel like Joliet should have kept the Kingsmen alive somehow. Get rid of Tigers, right?
Yeah the creativity just wasn't there in the early 20's when the school opened, but I bet they thought it was genius at the time.
when they consolidated I feel like this would have been better than Steelmen.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I think your first post indicates the nickname can no longer be in use. That eliminates the Rockbridge Rocks from consideration since Rock Island High School has been the Rocks for my entire lifetime (and I'm an Old Guy)
Everyone remembers Gordon Tech, home of the Rams. No one remembers Holy Trinity, founded in 1910 and still alive in Wicker Park. The HT Tigers recently beat the Rickover Naval Seadragons in flag football.

Other than singing "Louie, Louie" what have Kingsmen ever done? Especially in Joliet?
The Kingsmen of Joliet East hosted an evening relay format track meet in the late 60s that featured a low hurdle shuttle race on the football field grass. Pretty "groovy" I thought at the time.
