That was more about Florida than South Carolina. But he wasn't wrong, anyway.
Not a Stephen A fan, but that wasn’t towards us. In fact it comes across as he believes we have passed Florida as a program.
He’s making the point that Florida is celebrated for beating a mediocre opponent. The shot wasn’t intended at us. That’s sort of the point too. Nobody is talking about us other than to make fun of programs who are struggling but pointing out they’ve fallen so much they are excited about beating someone like us. Which never would’ve been the case when they were on top.
Though Stephen A should watch Swamp Kings and watch how much Florida celebrated beating us their first National Title season under Urban Meyer. I remember commenting that the team celebrated in the stadium that night like they won the National title. Had never seen a really good team celebrate beating us like that, so it was strange.
Stephen A saying something doesn’t make it true. But this definitely doesn’t portray us in anything near a positive light from his perspective.
Even if it was a dog at us, I think we need to have some thicker skin guys.
