She holds the all-time women's college basketball scoring record with 4,061. Florence native and current resident.

But it is not a NCAA record. So rightfully so, Catlin Clark holds the NCAA Women's Basketball record.

Pat Summit gets credit for her wins as a coach prior to women's basketball becoming an NCAA sport.
I have no clue. I have not looked any of that up. But I can't think of one incident that the NCAA recognizes records of players that never played in the NCAA.

Pat Summit's pre-NCAA wins are credited to her record. Not sure why the one is ok to consider but not the other.

Also, Joyce Walker (LSU) and Lorri Bauman (Drake) are both included in the list of all-time scoring leaders in the NCAA, though both played 1980-1985 and women's basketball was not an NCAA sport until the 1981-1982 season.

Probably because they actually played in the NCAA even if they did not start in the NCAA. I do not believe anyone who never played or coached in the NCAA is part of the NCAA record book.

Pearl Moore played for Francis Marion College when is was not NCAA. it was Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW). Sylvia Hatchell who led Francis Marion College to two Nattys was her coach. Sylvia later led UNC-Chapel Hill to a Natty.

To relate it to USC, USC did not want Coach Hatchell in favor of Nancy Wilson of College of Charleston. UNC won a Natty.....USC did not sniff anything close. Another miss in the storied history of USC Athletics.
