Mason Clinton, a 3-star D-lineman out of EMCC.

No offense to the kid, but does anyone trust this staff to find “diamonds in the rough”? They haven’t really impressed with their evaluations of portal players, so I don’t trust them to do any better with lightly recruited JC kids.

Now, I’m not opposed to dipping in to the JC ranks but we all remember what happened when Jackie went Juco heavy.

Hutzler and crew just keep cementing their legacy as the worst defensive staff State has had in at least 20 years if not longer.

6-5 290 freshman, might be a player after a redshirt and a year in the weight room

offer sheet doesn’t inspire confidence, hopefully a diamond in the rough

We need help TODAY. Not projects who can help us down the road. Lebby needs to understand if he runs this staff back, it’s his *** that will be taking heat next season.

To all the fans who say it’s “bad players, not coaching,” what about this class makes you think things are improving on the talent front?

Is there any difference now in "dipping into the JC ranks" and picking up portal players? Sanders got what, 50 last season at CO and almost 30 this year?

With the transfer portal now available, players like Montez Sweat or Johnathon Abram or Cam Newton, for that matter, don’t have to drop down to JC to get playing time and/or leave a bad situation. Those guys would just transfer to another FBS school. I can’t see how it hasn’t negatively affected the overall numbers.

They are scrambling to fill the rest of this class out before December signing day. And by scrambling I mean stealing croots from FIU and Arkansas State. Steve has an article out about a few guys we are "pursuing" and it's kinda sad. The number 40 ranked juco safety ? A 6'3 250# OL ? Seems to be looking bleak to say the least. Edited to add Hopefully they have about 7 or 8 mill that they plan to drop in the transfer portal on specific targeted needs

Y'all need to get a grip. Some of you have yet to come to terms with just where we are. We were warned what was coming on defense two years ago. Nobody listened.
Do you ever just ask yourself, “maybe I should stop trying to pretend I’m either Nostradamus or the smartest guy on this board because I’m neither?”

If not, maybe you should. Leave the pretending to little kids and trannies.

Back when Henry flipped to Bama in October, I remember thinking that we better have a backup plan ready. This was not what I had in mind

OM gets Cunningham, and we counter with a 3* Juco DL. It’s depressing how out of its depth this program is right now

Yeah well, whatever came is apparently sticking around for a long while from the looks of it

I wasn't the one with that warning. You must have missed the word "we". I never in my worst nightmare ever thought our defense would be as bad as it it.

Surely you are willing to give Hustler another year, right? I mean the talent is so depleted, it's only fair, right?

Whatever on that. The defense will not get better till the talent improves, whoever is coaching. If you have a candidate that will bring some decent players with him then I'm all for it.

I think is smart to recruit a few "diamonds in the rough" from HS/JUCO. We are probably paying them next to nothing. If we sign a highly sought after prospect, that's going to cost major dough. Keep our power dry (money) for the portal. I'll give Levee a pass on last year's portal hall, let's see what he does this go around.

If there's one thing we've learned, commitments are always honored.

I thought they did away with letters of intent

You're consistent, I'll give you that. You're one of the only Lenny-lovers who is. Truth be known, I'd lose respect for him if he actually did fire Hustler, because this whole premise is built around not having players.

Of course, he and you and everybody is wrong, because Lenny is not the right coach for us. But at least stay consistent in your approach.
