Glad I kept my money in my pocket & didn't go. The mercs, Kinnard & Sanders, can kick rocks. I hope to not find out Emmanwori quit at halftime.

They quit on the team before we were finished. Missed both badly. They're quitters.
I am sure they got to where they are today by having the attitude of a quitter. Be grateful for what they gave us. If you could see we needed them today then be glad we had them when we did.

Beamer's limitations were on clear display today. Being emotional is one thing, but when it clouds your ability to use your brain and think rationally that's another. Top to bottom our coaching sucked today. Yes our guys didn't execute, but we were very poor in playcalling. Just IMO.

We had a chance to "arrive" today under Beamer's tenure. Per usual we shite the bed. Still a good season no doubt, but I'm not convinced this isn't the ceiling unless our staff improves. Maybe they will- time will tell.

You & people with similar attitudes toward quitting are a major part of the problem.

Yes.
Yes being grateful is the problem. Its a game! I get to brag that we beat Clemson because of these guys! I'm so thankful for them and if I met them I'd proudly tell them how I feel!

How about you?

Yes.
No matter what side of the so-called "quitting on the team" argument you fall on, you have no control in the decisions of these young men. Enjoy the games and the players we have. Being mad at a kid you probably don't know e because he didn't do what you wanted is a little silly. My wish was that the DT's that we hailed for not quitting played better. My wish was that our coach stop getting so emotional and taking so many chances.

I figured we were going to get beat . I have been a fan for 60 years. We never win when we are a lock based on the media.
However we are getting better and maybe some day before I die, we will be a contender.
I’m 75 and I still love the Cocks!

Another quitter apologist. Fans like this are the problem.
I PROMISE you I don't like players skipping bowl games. But at the end of the day these are human beings and they gave us so much this year. I just can't see turning to hate because they have a bright future ahead. I wish so badly they played, and that Nick would come back next year. But they didn't, so I should hate them now? I just can't get there

If Nick E. made the solo decision to sit out the 2nd half and surprised Beamer in the process, do you really think Shane would even let him come back next year?

I don't.

You are going to tell Kyle Kennard he is a quitter to his.face???. 😂. Keyboard Warrior. 😂
Yes. I would. I'm still calling Debo Samuels a quitter.

I'm not sure why you think I wouldn't. They're all quitters. If they swing at me, so what? I'd just take the only thing they care about....$$$$

No I totally agree. I doubt it was a suprise, but even so.

I was more referring to before that happened today.

i'm sure Deebo is crushed with his anger. People talk about character with these players. What I'm seeing is that some people needed to reminded of "Priorities" when it comes to fandom. You want to win, but we have no say in the choices of individual players. Also, it's all entertainment at the end of the day. Getting to 10 wins is not life or death. The sun will come up tomorrow if God says so.

I can't imagine Beamer would agree to let him do that; and even if he did, not make it public ahead of time to head off the inevitable chatter. His attitude has always seemd to be, "You're either with us or you're not". There is no half-hearted commitment with him.

No. Will not give any quitter any pats on the back. At all. Ever. It's a loser mentality. You keep on encouraging it though.
You can be grateful for the things someone has done without glorifying every decision they make. OR you can stay mad 5 years later

I wish every player played every bowl game

Thats a good point for sure. I'm interested to see what Beamer says about it!

When Spurrier was at South Carolina, y’all had a ridiculous amount of players declaring for the NFL Draft who were nowhere near ready. I don’t have names, but you old cocks know what/who I’m talking about. It seems like the is happening again at South Carolina. Fans convincing players that they’re ready.

With 1/2 the fan base encouraging and excusing the quitting, it was bound to happen. College football is essentially dead. The pansy crowd more concerned about participation trophies than winning has killed it for good.
Dude give it a rest. I would be willing to bet 100 percent of fans want all players to play all games. But they didn’t. And there’s nothing against the rules of what they did. I think we’re more concerned about your investment level in this game. If you’re over 25 years old, are married and/or have kids, I’d advise you to take a step back and evaluate your priorities.

The 2 players out didn’t cost us the game. We didn’t adjust well enough to what they were doing on defense. A guy on another thread nailed it, Sellers had plenty of chances to run it on the edge but tried to throw it instead. Don’t know if that was coaching or Sellers, but the lack of Sellers rushing yards was the difference. Look at the yards per carry Adaway and Holman had. Not bad at all, just not enough total yardage.

Had to be coaching. We've already seen what Sellers is inclined to do naturally.
