Cooper came into a situation that was Jackie Sherrill's last ditch effort to save his job. That whole team was completely undisciplined and the writing was on the wall before he got there. Yes he was incredibly awful and deserves a spot on the list of worst assistants ever here, but what we see now is worse.

I understand. But Cooper had a lot of highly rated talent available to him, and we didn’t have one SEC caliber player on campus when we were hiring a DC last season. It makes it become all toclear why we couldn’t hire a legit DC…. Nobody would want to walk into that situation.

I’m not even trying to defend Hutzler, but I’m at a loss to think of anybody that walked into a worse situation in my lifetime outside of Marshall and SMU. Keenum truly destroyed the program in a matter of days.
