I love my alma mater, but growing up among Alabama and Auburn fans - they take it way more seriously than I ever have. A lot of them only buy red trucks, navy blue cars, or sometimes go with a white adorned with logos. I've always made fun of it, and drove silver/gray/black vehicles.

Now my wife has found a late model vehicle that she has fallen in love with. Its maroon. Nissan maroon and it is gorgeous. But I am hesitant on puling the trigger because of that syndrome that Alabama and Auburn fans have. And the fact that I have made fun of numerous friends and family members.

What say the Pack - maroon vehicle?

Personally, I think it shouldn't be a deciding factor in vehicle purchase, but if the car you want happens to be in maroon, it doesn't hurt.

tells me you're not like them. They're just the opposite (they'd be struggling with buying one that wasn't their color). Buy the damn car (see megadawgmaniac's comment).

I would have no qualms about buying a Harvard Red car or a Yale Blue car and neither should you over buying a maroon car.

Its a car, not a doo-rag. Not a gang color thang.
