Haven't spent a dime at the Creamery since they put Rodless' name on the building.
I have purchased tickets for the one game that I attend every year. I will shop at the bookstore on campus and I will make a stop at the Creamery while I am there.
i bought three half gallons of ice cream at the Creamery this weekend.

i can't control what the Board does but there are college kids working at the creamery, studying at PSU and playing sports and representing the University to the best of their abilities.
It would be shortsighted to not be supportive of them because of the Board's internal decisions.

I had been "done" before. The latest news just confirms that, for me, it was the correct decision. I have a friend who thinks otherwise and nothing will change his mind. "Penn State right or wrong" is his motto. And so it is. Each to his own.
And that is fine. We all have interest, lose interest, gain interest in a variety of things.

I will let the OP speak for himself, but since I have a similar view, I will answer for myself. I am still here because I enjoy the level of discourse, even among those with whom I disagree. I also stay because the Board is not limited to Penn Stare topics. Cheese steaks, Phillies, Pirates, musicals, hot women, Olympics..... I often check-in here and see a breaking news story that I was not aware of. Finally, I stay to provide a balance to those who think all is well in Happy Valley. It is not. Penn State has a lot of problems and they will not be resolved by ignoring them, or treating them like they don't exist.
That said, Welcome to the Board. A bit of advice. Unless you are here just to troll, starting off with a derisive post against a long time, valued board member, is not a good strategy.

I'll donate to the school. I'll go to all the games and possible playoffs. I'll tailgate. I'll go to the creamery. I'll stay in town overnight and eat and drink in restaurants with friends and family. I'll continue to enjoy my life.
I won't donate to the school. I won't go to any games or possible playoffs. I will tailgate at home. I will get ice cream from a friend who makes it in his kitchen from a family recipe. I will sleep in my own comfortable bed, and eat and drink in local restaurants, or better yet, at the Gambit's table with food prepared by my wife who is a terrific cook. Either way, it will be shared with family and friends. I will also continue to enjoy my life, but with far less hassle and at a fraction of the cost. I did all the other things for 40 years, except for the playoff thingy, and so I know what its all about. I far prefer my current choices. That said, it is, in the end, about choices. Your path is the one that I chose for 4 decades. I wish you, and others who have chosen similarly, safe travels, good weather, many wins, and much happiness. May God bless us, every one.

They quell dissent and the populace of any fear by reassuring them the Dictator knows best - no questions should be asked.
The Dictator then wonders (fears) IF they will be replaced, then acts out of defiance to assure their life is safe with restrictions of all kinds.
(I was in Hong Kong in 1984 when the Peace Treaty was signed to confirm China would regain control after 99 years. Today - Hong Kong has so many restrictions that one derisive word can guarantee a prison sentence. The Dictator could care less about an individual.)
We all know 9 Independent voices will not out-vote the entrenched majority. We wish for information to be shared with all alumni, but only a very small minority of 600K alums will ever hear the monetary proceedings of those favored to know the inner dealings/compromises and agreements.
Unfortunately, the Legislature and a very, very dirty Shapiro looks at the paperwork of years past and hears the press releases and pays little mind. It is 'out of their hands' is an excuse to see good sports teams and thousands of students on campus. Penn State needs change now, but ......

Here’s the thing. People on this board are at different stages in life. We get it. You are past your PSU involvement days. We hear you say it repeatedly. However, your stage in life might be much different from those of us who aren’t that far removed from PSU and/or have students there, etc. So, the daily disparaging of PSU does become tiresome. Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, it’s just some of us refrain from yelling it from the mountain top daily.True.
