I don't post often but in my last few replies I was prompted to click the bridge, taxi, stoplight, etc. in an image before posting. What is this about? It's annoying, and the image clicking captcha is the worst one of these "I'm not a robot" processes. Is this the new normal for the board?

No, I myself get them every two, three days. I don’t know if you realize this, but the board has been hit hard by spammers in the last few weeks and I suspect that the captchas are a reaction to that.

Yep, I get them every few posts. As others pointed out, spammers. Perhaps in time they will be turned back off, but for now they seem necessary.

Tried posting from my phone, and the captcha photos never popped up, but the post wouldn't go through, with some message about a captcha failure. Hard to pick which pictures have hills when the pictures never show. Oh well.
