What a game, thought they had it 3-2 in overtime, then Bale…Union - LAFC in a shootout after being tied after OT for the MLS Championship.
You are an idiot. That’s the thing: I don’t care if he does have growing pains. He could throw 19 straight picks and I’d still want him to play. Developing a guy with huge potential is better than playing a guy that long ago reached his low ceiling.
Soft opponent, yes, but Allar has poise. It’s nice to see. Hopefully they won’t need to do too much work to get him ready after they essentially wasted this entire season for him.
Criticism comes from people who are not satisfied with mediocrity. Refusal to criticize comes from people who see mediocrity as a perfectly acceptable result.what is foreign to me is somebody who is unremittingly negative toward the coaches and players of the team that he supposedly roots for
Oh yeah? How so?You are an idiot.

Not really. Some take it too far, but mostly it comes from people that just call it as they see it.mostly it comes from whiny aholes
"Mediocrity"...we're 7-2 and likely to be ranked about 14th tomorrow (out of 124 teams), while having a great chance at being 10-2 and ranked in the top 10 heading into a marquee Bowl game...we're doing something pretty well if during a rebuilding year where we're playing loads of young guys, this is seen as "mediocrity".Criticism comes from people who are not satisfied with mediocrity. Refusal to criticize comes from people who see mediocrity as a perfectly acceptable result.
That's a bit harsh. He is likely a moron. You are an idiot.
Where do we matriculate in order to obtain our certification as an elite fanboy?Oh yeah? How so?
So, you think playing a mediocre 6th year QB is the better option to developing a guy that’s projected to be an elite talent?
One of us is an idiot, sir. Probably not the one who understands how “investment” works, though.
If they bring out Clifford again, they deserve to have both of them transfer. I’d be furious if I was either of those guys. Watching Clifford struggle all season, and then being in control like this and still not getting to play…?
It’s stupid and insulting.
nope, he's an idiotThat's a bit harsh. He is likely a moron.
whiny aholes- he was responding to disagree with something I said- which was:Not really. Some take it too far, but mostly it comes from people that just call it as they see it.
My theory is that his early season fumbles make him leery of fumbling when running in tight quarters. To minimize the risk, he runs inside with both arms wrapped tightly around the ball. That affects his balance, making it easier to trip him up.I've noticed that too. Thought it might be a balance problem after ankle tackles. Seems like Singleton still has a lot to learn about running between the tackles.

Nothing more to it…game was in hand, so gave Clifford the rest of the day off. ESPN is just saying it wasn’t injury related.Question for those who got to finish the game (I missed the second half).
TV ticker last night was showing our score and stats. It mentioned that Allar replaced Clifford with the notation "coaches decision".
Was this anymore than we had the game in hand and JF got Allar some reps? ESPinN had it reading like there was more to it. At least, I've never seen the backup getting garbage time snaps as ticker worthy.
I watched the game late last night too and saw the same ticker prior to seeing the 2nd half. The color commentator couldn’t have been more excited to see Allar. He was gushing over everything he did he did (lining the team up, pre-snap reads, etc)…a little over the top imo.Question for those who got to finish the game (I missed the second half).

I assume he busts his arse in practice just like the starters. PT is a reward for that effort. Why would he play Veilleux?

You need to learn what mediocrity means. And many people will not be “satisfied” with anything less than undefeated seasons every year, so I take “some people” with a grain of salt.Criticism comes from people who are not satisfied with mediocrity. Refusal to criticize comes from people who see mediocrity as a perfectly acceptable result.
You could argue that MD, RUT, and MSU will be our 3rd, 4th, and 5th most difficult opponents.PSU schedule, (with opponents current record)-
Purdue 5-4
Ohio 6-3
Auburn 3-6
Central Michigan 3-6
Northwestern 1-8
Michigan 9-0
Minnesota 6-3
Ohio State 9-0
Indiana 3-6
Maryland 6-3
Rutgers 4-5
Michigan State 4-5
#bringbackthedeletebuttonYou guys realize we have the exact same record as Alabama, right?
Edit-just noticed an entire thread with this same statement. If only there was a magical way of removing posts once posted. Hmmm…

Had never seen that wording before. Allar came in midway through the third quarter so he got about 20 minutes of playing time.
VERY over the top!
Next year could be special if we’re able to keep some guys and fill a few holes.

PSU certainly has some exciting young talent. Allen, Singleton, Allar, Carter, Sutton, etc.
That said, PSU's success next year will depend largely on what key players return (Washington, Strange, Johnson, Jacobs, etc) and if we can fill holes (LB, WR) through the portal.
We're ticket worthy . . . or ticker worthy . . .It was an error. It was supposed to read, “McAndrew Board decision.”
Allar is going to need some WRsI’ll take as much positive talk about Allar as anyone is wanting to do. For those who tuned into our game over Ga/UT and stayed through the whole thing, there was a lot to praise. Next year could be special if we’re able to keep some guys and fill a few holes.
And Allar - that boy has a hose.
