Defenders nowadays are too dumb to play zone. All they do is guard space and they're too slow to pick up anyone. Oregon will just pick it apart. Make them run routes!! Why does PSU struggle at WR? Because teams man up on them and we can't shake them. Surely, our corners (other than Cam Miller) can cover man on man.

Agree 100%...zone is man in ur zone.. Left to right up and back when no one is in it. Allen is hoping our Dline and or blitzer gets the job done quick.. Our WRs can't get separation.. Easy call to play man vs. Us.. But I agree we should man up their two wide outs and play zone every where else.

Yeah, this is exactly the kind of problem that invites justified criticism. Do they know what coaching is? What the purpose of it is? You have given the opponent FIFTY free yards in one quarter!

This is my problem with Franklin. He just doesn’t consider these issues as problems to correct as long as they win. Problem is you can overcome those issues usually against the poor Big Ten teams. When they run into OSU/ Michigan (or any top 15 team) they can’t overcome it.
