Go to 1:40 . . .

Such a curious footnote in PSU history.

Teams run up the score on inferior opponents all the time. Plus, McQueary was the BACKUP QB that year. It’s not like PSU was still playing their starters. What are you supposed to do? Tell the 2nd stringers, “Don’t go out there and play. Just lay down,”?

Screw that. You pull the starters. You give the 2nd stringers an opportunity to get reps. But the opposing team still has to stop you. You don’t OWE it to them to do nothing.

yeah, they seemed focused on getting Allen the TD. The 2nd down play had no chance. The 3rd down pass was behind Allen, forcing him to turn his back to the goal line, and he got blasted after the catch.
And he didn't seem too happy about it either.

If I'm Keyveone Lee I'm as good as gone. He could star at Bama, OSU, Florida, or _____, but Franklin and buddy JuJu are holding him back.
Happens. He’s been supplanted in the depth chart. It’s a good problem to have.

Kaytron, better RB vision than saquon? He's able to open holes on his own better than any other PSU RB I can think of. Doesn't have the higher speed but pretty darn good

A much better back than Singleton, but Franklin and JuJu see otherwise..despite fumbles. 🤷‍♂️

Something is going on ....
Yeah. I’ve been saying it all season. Not as much speed, but an overall better back.

Switzer did it all the time and benefitted in the polls. He’d say that you play until the end.

That is what makes him so special. His vision and patience are outstanding and he combines that with power.

Damn right. I’m all for making substitutions. But this idea that I OWE it to my opponents to call nothing but runs up the middle— psh. Forget it. I’m trying to to get the younger guys experience. You still have to stop them.
