"Sorry Kenny, they don't make Isotoners in your size." 🤣

House of the Dragon season finale is tonight. Steelers have to wait.

13-0, Miami. The Stillers would do well to score some points.

Muth vs. Mike G.

Two last names that were royally screwed up here for many years.

pickett to Pickens for the Stillers TD. Great catch by Pickens. Sounded like a Stillers home game.

4 dropped int’s vs 3 actual int’s…story of the game. Pickett made some nice plays, but his last 2 picks (the 1st really should’ve been PI) were just poor plays. Hopefully it’s just the rookie in him because he can’t survive in this league with a 1:3 TD:Int ratio, especially twice when the game is on the line.

Steelers fans, your thoughts on Pickett? My father in law insists he’s a rookie, but has the stuff to be a high level NFL QB.

He had a steep learning curve in college. Looks like he’s taking the steep curve in the pros as well. Honestly, his OC isn’t doing him any favors. I’ve seen HS teams with more complex schemes than what they’re running.

His mistakes are very much in line with being a rookie…if he can learn from them and cut down on the mental lapses, I think ultimately he’ll be a decent starter. Maybe a Ryan Tannehill type guy.

Then the question is whether a Ryan Tannehill type is good enough for the Steelers? You’re used to a Hall of Famer in Ben.

But I hear you. They can ultimately win with him if he reaches that level.

It feels like they’ll have a high pick next year. I’m sure the debate will rage over whether they draft a high ceiling QB.

No, they won’t draft a QB. KP is their guy for at least his rookie contract. They’ll build up the OL (I hope) and fix the D so they can play like the old Bettis days…ground & pound. Is Tannehill-level enough? I think so.

I may be in the minority amongst Steelers fans, but I’m SO happy that BR is retired. I never liked that dude…and not just because of his off-field antics. He was a big-time diva (IMO), and I thought he cost them a lot more big games than he ever won. I’m actually enjoying the rebuild a lot more than I’ve enjoyed the team in a long time.

Many year starter at Pitt who excelled in his final year against a relatively easy schedule for a P5 team, which left a lot of wonderment as to how good he was.

The Steelers, with many needs, made an interesting decision to use their 1st pick on said QB who will likely be the worst one in their division.

Did not think it was a good use of their pick, but now that they’ve done it, might as well play him. Think of Tomlin as the captain going down with the ship.

I really believe the only thing the Steelers can do is kick field goals. They can't run the ball, can't pass the ball, can't stop the run, can't stop the pass, can't block, can't tackle and can't punt the ball. That's all.
They are bad. How many INT's does Pickett have in 2 games? 5?

My friend. I must respectfully disagree. Ben pulled more games out for Tomlin than he lost. The proof will be that this year will be Tomlin's first losing season.

Tomlin has taken a lot of blame over the years, and rightfully so. But Ben came up small in more big games than the other way around. He was a good (though IMO overrated) QB, but he was quick to throw a lot of people under the bus (in his own dramatical way), and the excuses….holy 💩 was he one for excuses. Again, happy he’s gone…the team is so much more enjoyable without him.

Enjoy your 2-5 start and losing season my friend.

I hadn't thought of the division comparables. That's a telling point: best case, Pickett is QB #4 in that division over the next decade. The Steelers start each season behind in that regard.
