Wife was trying to convince me to look at the positives from the loss. I told her I was way past the days of simply being pleased with playing well in a loss and then I couldn’t be satisfied anymore with _________________.

Totally blanked on the phrase and I can’t think of it to save my life.

What do you call it? You know what I’m talking about. When you’re happy that your team played well in a losing effort? Instead of just being upset about the loss?

I’m getting old.

Man, my brain was fried or something on Sunday night. I'm not old enough to be having senior moments.

I hope.

My wife told me it was only a football game, get over it you got a family to take care of.

Thankfully, with a 7, 5 and 3 year old in the house, I had no choice but to flush it and move on. That's not to say I have replayed it a zillion times in my head.

It must be contagious. Me, and both of my son's could not get over it. I could not get past it over the weekend, and then I was doing well yesterday until co-workers started asking me about the game. I think I am now at the point of acceptance. Accepting that there is not a damn thing we can do to change the cheating ref's actions.

Indeed on what happens next. If we win by only 4 against The next opponent and don’t match up with other top programs the rest of the year than we are another Vanderbilt. If we win 3 or 4 that we shouldn’t and 3 we should then wife is correct.

I often lament that deer/elk season runs concurrent with football season, but the truth is, I'm better off for it. As Gamecock fans, we have to have a recreational outlet from the frustrations of our other recreational outlet.

I don't work anymore, but when I did, not getting over it didn't prevent me from bringing home a paycheck. Working and brooding at the same time isn't that hard.
