Ohio State is raising in state tuition 4.6% to $12.5k/yr, which is firm for the next four years. Out of state tuition is up 5% to $35k. International students will pay $39.7k/yr.
I wonder what good ole Penn State is doing with tuition?

my brother's firm consults to tOSU and he says they are going to face deficits in the next 5 years according to the tOSU CFO team. Ohio does not have a very good state support model for their publics. A couple of their 4 year public colleges may have to close are shrink substantially.Ohio State is raising in state tuition 4.6% to $12.5k/yr, which is firm for the next four years. Wonder what that means for the Mac conference? If someplace like Akron or Bowling Green shut down It would be a perfect opportunity for one of the Dakota teams that dominate FCS to joinmy brother's firm consults to tOSU and he says they are going to face deficits in the next 5 years according to the tOSU CFO team. The schools that are struggling are schools like Wright State, OU and Toledo.Wonder what that means for the Mac conference? If someplace like Akron or Bowling Green shut down It would be a perfect opportunity for one of the Dakota teams that dominate FCS to join

I was ready to say that although I knew nothing of the big picture, I felt safe in saying it wasn’t going to be either Akron or BGU. Toledo? Losing U of T would be a terrible loss to the city, definitely a hammer blow. The schools that are struggling are schools like Wright State, OU and Toledo.
Agreed I didn’t think it would be the two schools I mentioned but just brought them up as a scenario that could change the conference. Agree about Toledo tooI was ready to say that although I knew nothing of the big picture, I felt safe in saying it wasn’t going to be either Akron or BGU. Toledo? Won't know what PSU will do until sometime in July, which is when, I believe, the BoT approves the 2022-23 budget.Ohio State is raising in state tuition 4.6% to $12.5k/yr, which is firm for the next four years. Out of state tuition is up 5% to $35k. International students will pay $39.7k/yr.

When does Barry officially have a seat at the BOT table?Won't know what PSU will do until sometime in July, which is when, I believe, the BoT approves the 2022-23 budget.
If they decide to give a couple of schools the ax, it would probably be something like Shawnee State, which is in one of poorest areas of Ohio and doesn’t have a large student population. BGSU is still a popular student destination in Ohio so I doubt it is on the chopping block.Wonder what that means for the Mac conference? If your brother’s firm consults with Miami University, then he likely knows my brother-in-law very well.my brother's firm consults to tOSU and he says they are going to face deficits in the next 5 years according to the tOSU CFO team. their firm consults to tOSU. I dont think they do any other business in Ohio other than small stuff with UC. Also I think that Akron might be the one in the most trouble - they cut a bunch of sports and also reduced academic programs. My brother said Wright State was under some type of fiscal control a couple years ago. He said Toledo is way ahead of BG academically, but maybe not fiscally. He said if you look at how much some of them have in cash, they could face mass layoffs just to make payroll, if the next academic year goes bad. My brother said that the state support to the schools amounts to only about $2-3,000 per year per full time student. Essentially, they are pushing their public universities toward shrinkage, non-existence or some could go private. Miami could probably go private, and not real sure why they went public in the first place. Looks like there is too much academic capacity, so some have to morph or close. If your brother’s firm consults with Miami University, then he likely knows my brother-in-law very well.
