Ohtani just started the 50/50 club.

I think he started it and ended it. I hear he's a decent pitcher too. Yeah, best player ever for sure. Mover over Babe Ruth.

These are video game numbers like what Adonis Shaw or Viper Ramirez or Razor Sizemore used to put up on Ken Griffey baseball.

I could see some analytics guy for Tampa or something decide he should just be walked almost every at bat.

I watched that whole game today. It was one of the all time great batting performances. On top of that, it clinched the Dodgers' playoff spot.

I wonder if he could be the founding member of the 500 HR 2k strikeout club. He is the most fun to watch athlete on the planet right now.

Can I ask why the Marlins Brujan threw him a 68 MPH BP pitch for his 3rd dinger? What the heck. I might have been able to jack that one and I suck.

He is a second baseman the Marlins just wanted to get out of there without using any more pitchers

Understandable.

Still, even though Brujan is not a pitcher, he should have made efforts to get Ohtani out.

Instead, Brujan just served up an easy BP pitch. In the video, check out his effort level on that pitch.

Does that show respect for the game?

I agree. I am not a fan of the position player pitching in a blowout.
