Yes but it's a slim chance. But they are improving it seems and if they play a little better than they did last week they might just pull it off. Those OM tears would be so sweet. Too bad we can't get them bottled. I'm hoping they don't win another game. Ever.

I want to say Florida has a good chance to win straight up. However based on the Ark and UGA games, OM is peaking.

Maybe the off week cooled their jets and they came back down this week.

I don’t really think UF pulls it off. I’m expecting a 31-17 type final score in favor of the Rebels. Do they have a chance? Sure. I’ll go with 10% Florida wins outright.

Correct. This game is based solely on whether or not Ole Miss shows up. Florida is obviously on a high note, and they beat LSU and Kentucky on the same field they'll be playing Ole Miss. Hard to compare Georgia because that was a neutral site, and Ole Miss got them at home.

So this game is closer than many would like to think. But if OM is truly rolling, they should take care of business.

Florida has played 3 games with Lagway taking most of the snaps at QB. Beat Samford 45-7, Kentucky 48-20 & LSU 27-16. I expect it’ll be a good game, but think Mississippi wins it.

Thier offense is coming together with the new qB and they are starting to get injured guys back. This is the type of team OLe Miss loses too. I think there is a chance but Ole Miss is going to have to make some mistakes and Florida play perfect football.

Remind me again what big road win the Rebs have?
At South Carolina 27-3, at Arkansas 63-31 & at Wake Forest 49-6 is pretty strong road record. Don’t kid yourself, Mississippi has a couple of bad hiccups on their record, but that’s a damn good team.

They are a good team yes but the only great win was Georgia at Oxford. I am of the opinion that this Florida game will be their biggest road win based on the way Florida is playing lately.

SC is a Top 20 team now and OM crushed them.
They weren't a top 20 team then and they weren't playing like they are now when that happened. LSU is weak and has a QB no one wants and Ole Miss looked awfully weaker.

Florida has been playing well at home. This will be their biggest road win by far.

Don't kid yourself. Carolina was 3-1 with a 3 point loss to LSU when they played Mississippi. Lost by 2 at Alabama the next week. That was a bigger road win than Florida would be this week. And very few teams have a win a big as the Georgia win was. They're #9 in the rankings, so a lock for the playoffs if they win out.

You asked, we told you, then you argued. I don’t understand this whole “they weren’t top 20 back then”, well, that doesn’t matter. What matters is what you are at the end.

That said, is OM in the mold of the Bama/Georgia of old? No. They are similar to their 2015 team top to bottom. But nobody is elite. No dominant team in the SEC. That’s the difference….well, outside of the fact that you just need to be top 12 instead of top 4.

Yes the end matters. It's funny how forgiving everyone is for playoff teams literally sh*tting the bed twice.

Let me spell this out. Bama is playing much better and a different team right now. Florida is playing well. LSU is playing like crap. SC is playing better now than all season. KY is playing much worse right now.

My point is that rankings are more subjective than we want to admit. I personally look at the losses. Who has the worst losses should matter more than they do. Road wins against top 10 teams should matter the most.

Mississippi will win. UF only has to beat a hapless FSU to be bowl eligible. Doesn't make sense for them to knock Missy out of CFP contention. Too much money at stake and UF would still end up in the same bowl game if they won.

Ole Miss getting knocked out would only help the money situation. They are a small market team.

I think the refs let this game be played straight up, the goal for any game on TV is to be close at the end so that might come into play with their calls.

Look at the momentum of the Georgia game, there is no way the Rebs win that game on the road. Zero chance.

This one will be 50/50. Line has Rebs at -10.5. I will take that all day.

They won't hurt eyeballs more than anyone else. Especially with the name Kiffin attached to them.

Plus, they will fill up whatever game/stadium they get.

STILL a small market team compared to the others. Nobody cares about how many people are in the stadium.

ESPN is in the business of selling more subscriptions and more advertising. So the more fans that watch it, the better. ESPN broadcasts the entirety of the playoffs, other than 2 first round games on TNT.

It is about how many million people watch the games. The state of Mississippi is 1% of the USA population. It's like a Boise State market.
