Agreed. I never know what to make out of that guy. He’s got such an up and down, not to mention sketchy past, but Saban thinks he’s an excellent coach so I’m going to go with that.

I think on D our depth is pretty good . Might not see too great of a drop off . Guys got some experience over the season as well. . On the O another story . We are 3.5 pt favorites by the line I saw listed . Manny leaving would impact my thoughts on the bowl game outcome .
Atlanta is only about 5.5 hours away from me. Unfortunately, I’ll be driving back from MN on the 29th. The idea of driving another 5.5 hours after that is not appealing, but it is sticking in my head.

Overall pretty excited about this bowl; match up is good/unique, location is new for us, and I actually like noon games. Hoping most of our NFL draft picks decide to play, but if not, no biggie.

Will portalling (?) players play or even attend? I can see why they might want to enhance their resume but what advantage is there for the team to play players who won't and don't want to be back?

Arkansas was tough to watch. Say what you want about the pragmatism of opting out, but watching a de-boned Penn State team get thumped in a bowl is no fun.
They kicked our butts too. I live 15 minutes from the stadium and I just couldn't do it. I would have been miserable.
