Only 13 seasons where the Cocks have won 8 or more games in 100 years!

It really is crazy. One more win ties it for the fifth best win total in school history. We definitely are fighting history and inertia and any other reason for a pretty lousy football history. We just have to beat Clemson next week.

Which makes it even more incredible the consistent sell outs, atmosphere and game day experience at Williams-Brice.

Thats what you call real fans. The day this team wins a Championship, i cant even imagine the partying in South Carolina!
It just proves what great fans USC has. A championship would be two weeks of wild partying. We will lose our minds. Just hope I get to see it.

Beamer has now tied Spurrier for the most wins at Carolina in the first 4 years. That’s the Great Spurrier we’re talking about. The one who walked away during the season at Carolina and now has an office in Gatorland.

He never was one of us and only stayed here to further his ego and make money (IMO). Yeah, yeah, yeah…he gave us three great years. But now we have a young coach who does seem to enjoy being a Gamecock AND knows how to put together a winning program. That’s just as nice as having the best fans!

without being bias. The best fans in college football imo. Its easy to cheer a team when they are winning all the time. But Cocks fans are there win, lose or whatever. Thats what makes the fans special.

Man, I would love to have a watch party with you over there. My family watches so much British TV I’m surprised my kids didn’t grow up with a British accent. We’ve got to visit the UK some day.

yeah he does seem proud to be Gamecocks coach.
next season will be interesting with so many players moving on, but he still has some great young players to work with and build the team around.

I think Jim Carlen was the first coach to win eight games in the mid 1970s. Paul Dietzel won the ACC back in the 1960s with Tommy Suggs as quarterback, but I don’t think they had eight wins.
