Throw in the absolutely creepy personal love triangle stuff he had going on a few years ago... it does add up to one miserable human being ....What an аss. It’s good sometimes when somebody else independently validates what you think about a person.
Yeah, much ado about nothing.I'm not sure where O'Sullivan is from but where I grew up that just isn't that big of a deal. I will say you don't have to take it. Walk away, yell back or belt him in the mouth. These game times aren't written in stone.
With that said How much of a warning was he given? I mean if it's 15 minutes before the game was supposed to start and his starting pitcher has already started to warm up that is an issue. Did the other team know before he did? Again would be a big issue.
I will also say you do come of looking like anasshole. But I guess he's okay with that

Why did the site rep just stand there and listen? Maybe he understood and thought the coach had a point? If I thought the the coach was out of his mind, I would have told him to 17 off and walked away.
He was probably sweating so much he had to unbutton his top button.Imagine being a guy wearing loafers, having to call a guy like that, make him admit he was wrong, and tell him he has to craft an apology statement for the college baseball world to read.
Gotta believe that bob the builder would go the email route on that one.Imagine being a guy wearing loafers, having to call a guy like that, make him admit he was wrong, and tell him he has to craft an apology statement for the college baseball world to read.
"Dear Mr. Coach O'Sullivan Sir..."Gotta believe that bob the builder would go the email route on that one.
I don't pretend to know loafers, but I suspect he did meet with him in person and relished the opportunity to bust O'Sullivan's balls."Dear Mr. Coach O'Sullivan Sir..."
Thanks to Jeffery Simmons and a concerned Noxubee County citizen with a cell phone, those buttons were already hanging by a thread. I imagine nerd-loafing into Sully's baseball office finished off the top two.He was probably sweating so much he had to unbutton his top button.

“This afternoon I met with Kevin O’Sullivan and told him that his actions prior to yesterday’s NCAA Tournament game fell well short of expectations of how Gators treat people. One of our department’s core values is respect, and Coach O’Sullivan’s unacceptable actions failed to demonstrate that.”
When Cohen is the good guy in the story, you know the other guy has a problem.I don't recall the year, but we were playing in Gainesville in a regional or Super (I think the latter). O'Sullivan ran over in front of our dugout and gator chomped to our fans after they beat us to send us packing. Cohen ripped into him cussing up a blue streak. Mic's didn't pick up his words but you could read his lips. I was watching at my folks' house. My father and I loved Cohen's reaction. My mother was appalled. She emailed Stricklin about it and she got an apology from Cohen himself.
Stricklin addressed the IB, so I don't think he'll have a problem handling this blow hard in an even worse situation.
ETA: I'll reach out to my mother to see if she can find the email.
Something tells me you are wrong. At least, I did. This is different from a 'tough coach' being hard on players because he's trying to teach them something.Something tells me none of you ever played for a tough coach, been in the military, or even had a Dad who wasn't a total woosy. We should change our mascot to the Beta male.
So you just sit there and take abuse from a man who has no actual authority over you? And you are calling others beta?Something tells me none of you ever played for a tough coach, been in the military, or even had a Dad who wasn't a total woosy. We should change our mascot to the Beta male.
It's how too many men in our new American era believe one attains "alpha" dog status. Punching down with lots of swagger and swearing. That's not how real men behave. They don't embarrass people who happen to be in lower station than them.
I think maybe you should act like you’ve been in public before.Something tells me none of you ever played for a tough coach, been in the military, or even had a Dad who wasn't a total woosy. We should change our mascot to the Beta male.
This is what I am wondering, did he arrive at the game and then they tell his team the game has been moved back an hour?I'm not sure where O'Sullivan is from but where I grew up that just isn't that big of a deal. I will say you don't have to take it. Walk away, yell back or belt him in the mouth. These game times aren't written in stone.

I'm assuming the guy is a staff member at the host school. I also know that when the head coach of an SEC baseball team is on campus, random staff members are not going to challenge them to a fight. It seems like an obvious situation of unequal status (to me), so no matter how tough that staff member is in the weight room or a bar fight, if he's a smart, mature guy who has his emotions in check, he's not going to just haul off and hit O'Connor, as much as he probably wanted to.Agree not to berate waitresses or others like that.
But who says the guy couldn't talk back? And why not the same outrage when Saban threw hissy fit after hissy fit when things didn't go his way? Think the refs, assistant coaches, and players were his equals? Ya'll don't like the guy. I get it. I don't like him either. But lets not act like this is the worse thing a coach ever did in public.
I take your point, it’s not the worst thing on earth a coach can do, but those folks aren’t his goddddamn players, either. That rant was a narcissistic bully move to childishly punch down on those “grunts” who chose to stand there and let an entitled male Karen out himself. Those folks have regular jobs with regular bosses, too, and that biznatch O’Sullivan ain’t one of them.Agree not to berate waitresses or others like that.

Actually the 2 angles were 2 different tirades. One in which he said "why does an hour matter." Which is what he threw the fits over.I take your point, it’s not the worst thing on earth a coach can do, but those folks aren’t his goddddamn players, either. His gripes should have gone up, not down on those who lack the authority to push back.
And it was all caught on camera fom at least 2 angles, which also indicates he wanted to do his bullying verbal beat down in front of an audience instead of in private.
Oh, so multiple locations and times for the same misdirected rant.Actually the 2 angles were 2 different tirades. One in which he said "why does an hour matter." Which is what he threw the fits over.
And multiple people.Oh, so multiple locations and times for the same misdirected rant.
What a cuntshit.
Bobby Knight was a great coach AND an Ahole. Saban, too. O'Sullivan is a good coach but mostly an Ahole. If only you soy boys had been around in Bobby Knight's heyday.
Successful, highly driven coaches have been doing this type stuff forever, now, with everyone having a phone, it's just getting captured. Think Saban hasn't done worse?
Something tells me you are wrong. At least, I did. This is different from a 'tough coach' being hard on players because he's trying to teach them something.
I know lots of real men and still think that midget in Florida is an assshole for publicly humiliating an ECU field staff member who obviously can't say shitt back to him. That's like my ex father in law berating and loudly shaming a waitress because she forgot to bring him a straw. Real tough guy, picking on people who can't talk back.
That's not how real men behave. They don't embarrass people who happen to be in lower station than them.
