I don’t know how many states this is legal in, so it may not apply, but in my state I’ve been getting nonstop commercials saying “Who you vote for is secret, but whether you vote is public based on state law. Your friends and neighbors can see if you voted, so go vote.” Funded by a Democratic PAC. Features cartoon images of your neighbors snooping on you.
I am pretty politically neutral. I haven’t liked the presidential candidates recently and have written in someone two of the last three times, including this time. But these commercials frankly made me want to go vote Republican. Felt incredibly intrusive and overall just put a terrible taste in my mouth about anyone who’d run them. Have people seen these in other states?
