OT: Anybody watch Peacemaker yet?

I really liked James Gunn's Suicide Squad movie but I haven't decided whether or not to give Peacemaker a try. Curious if anyone has seen the first couple of episodes.

I watched the first 3 episodes yesterday. I thought it was hilarious. Lots of dark comedy like The Suicide Squad and Deadpool.

I've got a really funny feeling that Cena is going to be bigger than anybody coming out of the WWE except for the Rock and it's going to be close. The work he did in the Suicide Squad is really let me know he has hit his stride to be a real performer. I really believed he was the 17ing Peacemaker in that movie.

It was Trainwreck and Sisters for me. Cena and Bill Hader make Trainwreck watchable.

Interesting tidbit I read on IMDB:

James Gunn wrote the entire first season in 8 weeks during COVID quarantine out of pure boredom, not actually believing the series would ever get picked up.

Episode 5 seemed like it lasted 5 minutes, whereas waiting on the next episode to drop will go painfully slow. It's been hilarious so far.

Just watched E5 and it's the best one so far! It seemed to take a long time for the character development to fully evolve, but we're definitely there now!

Just watched the finale of this, loved the entire last episode and the cameos at the end. Good stuff.

This show was 10x better than I ever expected, and while it can be a little quirky at times, the writers are doing a great job using that to their advantage. I can see this one lasting 4-5 seasons easily

I also didn’t realize how catchy the opening song was until I caught myself singing it in the kitchen the other night while I was cleaning up
