Holy Mack-el, Kingfish. I just wiped out my bank account.

I have tried the Master’s lottery for years with no luck, so on a trip thru Augusta, GA (on the way to Pinehurst/US Open) I stopped at a ticket agent and discussed a trip to the Master’s this year. Good guy. Very costly, but going to all four majors is a bucket list item. I am in with the agent and paid the down payment.

Today, I got an email from the PGA. Another bucket list item is the Ryder Cup. It will be played is in NYC/Bethpage Black on Long Island in 2025. You have to apply for a lottery to buy. I made it!! I purchased two tickets for Friday and Saturday and parking passes. I have them.

I might have to pass on football tickets this fall. My cup runner over and my bank account is as empty as my good judgment.

There are a lot of people pretty upset with the PGA about Ryder Cup tickets. They jacked them up to outrageous amounts.

I had a buddy win the lottery as well and he has to decide if it's worth the money or not. Can't believe they are so expensive but supply and demand ya know

I have a buddy, life long golfer plus he works part time for ping or some other club company, he weaseled his way into volunteering to work the tourney. He did it for years before his health gave out.

I went to the Masters in 1982. Got in on Sat. and Sun. I bought a pass from a kid who was a crossing guard on the course. Put it on my belt and walked in. No one said anything. It cost me $10.

I just grabbed Friday instead of Fri/Sat. Going to make a different vacation out of it. Pretty damn pumped.

I’m going to the PGA Championship in Charlotte in May.
I will have completed 4 of the Big 5 as I call them. The Players, Masters, PGA, and US Open.
Only one I haven’t been to is The Open across the pond.
Maybe one day ?

I read an article a few years ago someone wrote about volunteering at the Masters and said it was absolutely awful. Said they got to watch zero golf.
