6. The longest day; German Major Plusket Calls In the Invasion. I can't find the exact clip but German Major Plusket sees the ships in the early morning fog and calls it in. At one point, the Allies start with the artillery. Major Plusket is on the phone with the skeptical bureaucrat and the shells are going off just outside the bunker. At one point, you can see his hair get blown back from the force of the explosion. I always thought that was an amazing scene as the actor had to be there with the explosions going off to get that just right.

When Arnold flips the cannibal soup cauldron over and ex-NFL player Ben Davidson stares in awe ("you!") at what he assumes is the ghost of a dead man, black and white paint to boot. Sven Ole looking at his hammer after he smashes the column and it collapses is priceless. Just a taste of what was to come, but the entire scene builds up so well.

And the music! Basil Poledouris with one of the best soundtracks. Enhances the movie big time.
