After leaving them in 1974, he's most known as a songwriter who created a number of songs that were hits for other artists. Probably his most well-known song was "Since You've Been Gone." Interestingly, 10/31 was the birthday of Meant Meant Aye, more commonly known by her stage name, Annabella Lwin. She was the lead singer of Bow Wow Wow. There's a video of her singing their song I Want Candy, which I posted earlier in this thread.
