I just top off the gas in my van once in awhile rather than run it way down just to keep the fuel from getting stale.

About to build - after great controversy over the environmental impact, which is really masking a protest over an incentive package, which is large, that Scout is receiving from the state. We have people who would rather see an empty field full of scrub pines and sand spurs than a state-of-the-art plant employing hundreds of people in high-paying jobs pumping huge amounts of money into the local economy for many years to come.
Which is why the Upstate, metro Greenville-Spartanburg, is smoking the rest of the state in income levels, quality of life, and most metrics. Greenville is now being touted as the #1 destination in South Carolina to live, visit, jobs, etc.

I have been following the guy who started Edison Motors in Canada on TicTok for a long time now. The hybrid 18-wheelers he has come up with are really cool. The motor that turns the wheels is an all-electric motor. He has a diesel generator that charges the EV batteries. The theory is a diesel engine has a sweet spot RPM that gives the most efficiency possible. The generator will always run around that sweet spot regardless of what the load is on the truck. It allows the truck to get up to speed a lot quicker and also increases the hill climbing of the truck.

He is getting ready to start selling pickup truck retrofit kits also.

Like most other announcements made this year, the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning production news is about an alteration, not a cancellation. That said, the company is planning to build far fewer examples of the all-electric pickup than before, from 3,200 to 1,600, as demand has evaporated.Dec 27, 2023
