Answer: Vodka. Lots of vodkaOk, forgive the length of this one.
Burger King. Star Wars toys in the kids meals. My son is trying to collect them all. Walk into a BK that has six of the toys he doesn't have. Ask the manager if i can just buy the toys...nope have to pay for the kids meals.
He walks me over to one of the cashiers and tells the young man "ring him up for 6 kids meals, but he just wants the toys, no food"
Manager walks away...
Kid: You want hamburgers or cheeseburgers?
Me: no, I don't want the food, just the toys
Kid: manager said you can't buy just the toys
Me: I know, I'm paying for the meals, just don't make the food.
Kid: But the manager said you can't just buy the toys.
Me:I'm not, I'm buying the food
Kid: You just said you didn't want the food.
Me: fine, make it cheeseburgers, but you can have them
Kid: I can't eat 6 cheeseburgers
Me: Manager!
Manager sorts it out, rings me up, tells the kitchen no food for those meals
Kid: What drinks do you want

Ok I am going to use this thread to state my position on something.....related to the subject matter....
I am not sure why that kid at Beaver Stadium felt he could simply say anything he wanted about Kelce's brother (I forget which one is which)......but he was looking for a reaction......and he got it. It was a visceral reaction. It was unfortunte the way it ended for him and who knows what the next step may be (kid files a lawsuit, who knows). I have no qualms with how Kelce handled it. Frankly, I would have done the same. You don't have a right to be verbally abusive, and you especially shouldn't be surprised when you get a visceral reaction.
I am sure there is a thread on this somewhere, but....I am using this thread to state my position.
I am glad the kid got his phone broken. However, doesn't the First Amendment give us the right to say mean things to people? Kelce should act like an adult and walk away. Surely he has heard worse from the fans in Philly at one time or another when the Eagles weren't playing well. Someone calling your brother a name doesn't give you the right to assault someone and destroy their property. My
My guess is that he wanted what happened to happen so he could get it recorded and maybe get some money out of Kelce - no other reason I can think of unless he was one of Taylors ex's![]()
Speaking of weather threads ... boy do I miss them.Weather threads.
Too complicated for our younger crowd (with a few exceptions).you should have handed them one of these.
I helped the young man with his education. You're welcome. Was the young lad the owner? No reason to whine to him about it unless you just can’t help yourself.
Going to my first race (Montreal) next June, can’t wait, I’ll look for herSpeaking of weather threads ... boy do I miss them.
Was watching last weekend's F1 race in Brazil on the ESPN Spanish speaking channel, and one of their announcers was a female, and boy was she hot. Got me to wondering why all the Spanish speaking female announcers are so hot compared to what we get in the USA.
No. The First Amendment was to keep Government from imposing limits on speech. It's not carte blanche to say what you want to anyone and about anyone Without reprisal.I am glad the kid got his phone broken. You educated him on the fact that you are an a$$#ol@. If he had simply given you the medium cup since it was the smallest option, you would have b!t@#d that it was too big to be a small. If it really bothered you, the decent thing would have been to politely ask to speak to the owner or the manager. There’s no need to crap all over a kid that was merely doing his job. Hope you didn’t hurt yourself patting your smug self on the back.I helped the young man with his education. You're welcome.
That’s not how it works. However, doesn't the First Amendment give us the right to say mean things to people?
lighten up Francis. You educated him on the fact that you are an a$$#ol@. I’m hoping the OP knew that . I am certainly not a legal scholar; but, I am shocked at how many people completely misunderstand the application of the constitution.Yep.

Last year, Penn State had to send a five page letter and set up an entire website explaining the First Amendment.1995psugrad is his handle...
Ever think about lightening up on the milkshake lad?lighten up Francis.
He received a very nice tip.Ever think about lightening up on the milkshake lad?
Been there , done that.I seriously thought this thread was political with the mention of PSU wrestling today at a rally. Thanks for the laughs. Local TV has been unwatchable in PA for the past 3 months with the effing commercials every 3 minutes.
A couple of years ago I stopped at my grocery store to get some beer, chips, and cash back to head to a poker game. The cashier is a great guy but a slightly delayed. He rings up the chips fine but the beer won’t scan. He looks at me and says, “I’ll just let you have it for free”. I told him no and to hold on and I went and got the price for him to punch in manually. Completing the purchase, he sees that I want $20 cash back. I tell him I want 3 $5 bills and 5 $1 bills. He gives me 5 $5s and 5 $1s. I tell him that I only needed 3 $5s and give him two $5s back. He then hands me 2 $20 back. I then think to myself, “Screw poker, I’ll sit here and play cash register slots all night” but I hand him back the 2 $20s and tell him that we’re now even. He laughs at me and says, “I guess I’m getting a tip then”. I just told him to have a good evening and went to poker to drink heavily and try to make sense of the interaction.
Just the tip?He received a very nice tip.
That’s an easier one; if you’re looking for a real gas, ask for a third of a pound (1/3lb.). I learned that one by surprise; wanted more than 1/4 but less than 1/2, therefore 1/3. Maybe I’ll try asking for 4/9 of a pound, someday; when you’re really looking for just a bit less than a half a pound. No, that would be too cruel.Went into Publix and asked the young lady for 3/4 of a pound of roast beef. At least she confirmed, "0.75, right?"
I had the same thing happen. The cashier had to call over a supervisor and they used a calculator.Today I made a purchase at KFC, handing the cashier $25.00 of a bill of $21.81. She punched in the wrong amount and had no clue how to make change. She asked another employee what to do,and she also had no idea. They went to find a calculator.
First off no, thats not how the First Amendment works. I find it odd I have to say that to a college grad.I am glad the kid got his phone broken. However, doesn't the First Amendment give us the right to say mean things to people? Kelce should act like an adult and walk away. Surely he has heard worse from the fans in Philly at one time or another when the Eagles weren't playing well. It's frightening we have to explain this to a "supposed" college graduate.No. The First Amendment was to keep Government from imposing limits on speech. It's not carte blanche to say what you want to anyone and about anyine Without reprisal.
The more you work at math the easier it gets. Believe me when I say that students who study mathematics on Saturday mornings don’t find this to be a chore. It really is the most fascinating subject, I always have a problem in my head. I am now now working on Inner Product Spaces, fascinating stuff, algebra was my speciality.I remember seeing a group of young people gathered all smoking getting high and thought their counterparts in Japan may be working on physics and calculus at the moment, and yes, I yell at clouds too.
I can feel that but do not know how much this will cost Kelce, exactly. He has to buy the kid a new phone. How did he get the phone from the kid in the first place, took it out of his hands?First off no, thats not how the First Amendment works. I find it odd I have to say that to a college grad.
Second from the video I saw he was walking away and continuing to walk away. Kid got what he deserved, no he should have been punched in the face as well.
I know nice reasonable people who believe the moon landings were faked. I waste a fair amount of time watching Bravo reality shows and there’s this educated person, a law school graduate, who believes that pandas are fake and what we see are people dressed in panda costumes. F me.It's frightening we have to explain this to a "supposed" college graduate.![]()
Probably a LOT more people believe the US orchestrated 9/11. I was just reading something somebody regurgitated about not finding any airplane parts at the Pentagon site. Dude, there is actual video and eyewitness accounts and descriptions of the plane.I know nice reasonable people who believe the moon landings were faked. I waste a fair amount of time watching Bravo reality shows and there’s this educated person, a law school graduate, who believes that pandas are fake and what we see are people dressed in panda costumes. Same here - I say 1/2 past 1/4 after or 1/4 of and they just saw I don't know what that means and I have to saw 15 minutes after etc. Drives me nut's.My wife told me the same, said our grandkids have no clue what quarter to 11 means.
I was proficient, not great in math. My PSU ECLBS degree was heavy on stat and econometrics - and that was gained at age 34....algebra was my speciality.
Here's a weather report for your entertainment.Speaking of weather threads ... boy do I miss them.

He did but you can't grab someone else's property and destroy it - the kid was a dope but he called his brother a name but didn't threaten him so you can't do what he did - just dumb for someone trying to build a brand like he seems to be doing.First off no, thats not how the First Amendment works. I find it odd I have to say that to a college grad.

try to find a shoe hornSeveral years ago, just prior to leaving on vacation, I went into a CVS looking for a road atlas or map. I still like to look at a map before I drive somewhere I have never been before. I asked the young girl working there where I could find a road atlas. I knew they used to carry them in the section where they had magazines. She looked at me like I was from outer space. I had to explain to her what a road atlas was and her response was, “Don’t you have GPS? Now, this mostly speaks to the age gap between her and I, but she really had no idea what a road atlas/map was.
