OT in defense of my wife and for wilco - lock it up

There are very specific training requirements to be a pilot. I'm sure that any pilot on this board can attest to that fact. Your assertion that minorities can't do the work is just racist. How do you justify spewing that kind of racists ******** as if pilots don't have to pass their training to fly?

You can hide behind all of your cult programming to make yourself believe that you are just fighting the good fight, against the bad guys but you are not. Trump has truly emboldened a part of America that I had hoped was gone and while he is making American worse, perhaps the worst thing he has done is make hatefulness and cruelty celebrated "assets".

How MAGAs sit there in the middle of all his easily disproved lies and continue to carry his water is absolutely unbelievable to me and many others. I guess you still trying to stop the steal and you think Trump has a "mandate". You likely don't even realize that, while he only beat a terrible candidate by about 1.5% of the popular vote, she wasn't' the only one in the race. The fact is that more people voted against Trump than for him. His "mandate" is just another lie to convince his sheep that his revenge tour and racism is what America wants. MAGA is a minority. The fact that both parties are so broken that it gets to be in power is more telling about our system than our people.

It's really odd to me, how my bros on my usual, historical side of the political aisle, have now gone off the rails as far as useful idiocy. I'd have never been convinced this was possible 5 years ago.

Some of the stuff some of you are saying rivals the defund the police garbage.

2020 stole this country's soul, and I don't know that we will ever recover.

As I stated before, I want to stay out of this fight, but if you are saying no institutions have lowered their standards over the years to let in more "applicants" who may OR MAY NOT be less qualified... then, uh, well that's just not correct.

Have you met anyone in the Jackson Police Department lately? They aren't exactly getting the cream of the crop. They've lowered the standards, physical and mental (as in, testing). This is not my opinion, it's fact according to friends of mine who are in city government.

I'm just using JPD as one example, but other industries have done it too. Medical, universities, military, fire departments, etc. It doesn't seem like THAT much of a stretch that it's happened to some degree in the airline industry. I don't know it for a fact, but there is evidence that it's possible.

If JPD didn't hire a more qualified candidate in preference of the the less qualified (other than demographic), that's obviously a bad thing. I suspect that they lowered qualifications bc they couldn't get enough candidates period. I doubt JPD is a popular destination for good cops. But I might be wrong that's just speculation.

The people that knee jerk "DEI did it!" every time something bad happens are just as ridiculous as the idiots that think m passing up good candidates for unqualified solves anything. This binary world and all the morons that prop it up are getting very tiresome.
