OT: It's sad to see what's become of the next greatest head coach in college football

Tom Herman. Hard to believe he's the guy everyone wanted a few years ago. Now he's chasing after USF head coach postgame to complain about USF going for it on 4th down while up 23 points and converting it with a 10 yard pass. For context, in last year's game, which FAU won 56-14, FAU attempted and recovered an onside kick, then went for it on fourth down while up 42 points in the fourth quarter.

When highly successful coaches move on to the next stop it sets you up for huge expectations and living up to it can be a major challenge to overcome.

So Tanner was wrong about another football coach on his list, back then?

He ought to be embarrassed to have complained in light of previous actions he had taken.

Not even close. One bad year.
Southern Cal was 8-5 last year in the PAC 12 while only playing 4 teams who finished ranked in the final CFP poll. They're 4-5 so far this year in the Big Ten and have only played 2 teams that are ranked. He'll be fired after next season at this rate. Honestly may not even make it past this season if they don't make a bowl. He's been an absolute failure there.
