I mean, on the one hand, that’s the way you do it - spread it out to keep him there (or increase the chances). However, what if he turns out to be a DJU??

If you're paying one player that much money, anything short of a national title is abject failure.

If they backload the deal, they will get out a lot cheaper than that. Kid will be gone after year 3 (unless he can make more in college).

My advice to us CFB fans is to REALLY ENJOY the rest of this season and next season.... because this is an idiotic house of cards (On purpose but I can't get into that here) - and it will collapse.

If we're being truthful, we all know where this leads. Bottom line after all the arguments: This is not sustainable. Not to mention beyond stupid.

Definitely getting very tough out there, even for a school with decent wealth like ours.

I don’t see much hope in the future for schools who don’t have big pocket donors.

I tried to show y'all on another thread what Deion had to say about NIL, particularly collectives. He hates collectives. Nothing is merit-based now, particularly regarding high school recruits. For that reason, unless some ironclad system is adopted across college football, these deals are going to blow up all over the country.

Well, one thing about it, if people take this kind of money, or any substantial money, for playing college football, they have no business ditching bowl games - which is why players are going to have to start signing some documents.
