It's very strange to me that they don't know exactly who what where and why on this issue already. What is going on ? They must know. This is how you get conspiracy theories. These are SUV size I read. Not some kids Christmas present.

If something nefarious, I suspect the relevant authorities know way more than we are allowed (need?) to know. The truth probably ends up in panic. And if they pose some kind of threat (physical or surveillance), blowing them up over populated areas will cause even more. There's really no telling what's going on.

Questions though: is there any good info as to what they really look like or the size? Videos I keep seeing online aren't impressive or are clearly normal aircraft with an idiot on the video hyping it it. Plus, there's the AI aspect now. What video is real and what is a hoax?

Correct. As far as I know, only bright lights are seen at night. Not sure how they can tell that they're "SUV-size".

But why ? What are they surveilling? And they had or reported they had a bunch on the military base up there plus Trumps resort/golf course. Repeatedly. Weird.

I was outside a couple weeks ago and saw some red lights in the sky. At first I thought it was satellites. Then I realized they were a lot closer than that. Next thought was 2 airplanes. Problem with that is they were next to each other, and no sound. They were at least the size of a car with red lights at each corner. Possibly larger. This was N MS.

Were you near the woods? Could have been some hi tech rednecks tracking.

I don't think we have very good judgment of size when viewing things on the horizon. You know how the moon looks bigger when it's low? It's not - it just appears that way because you have a reference point that looks different.

I think in most cases, folks are seeing amateur/civilian drones and are making them out to be something they aren't bc it's abnormal and we aren't used to judging what they are. But it is very concerning they are popping up everywhere and near populated areas. I don't want anyone peeping my property or crashing their rig.

This was 10 pm. In city limits going over subdivisions and private land . They weren’t low on the horizon. It was almost straight above me. It could be rednecks flying drones, but these weren’t what you buy at Walmart.

It's illegal.to shoot a drone down too if I'm not mistaken. Seems to me if i got a drone hanging around my yard/house/property I should have every right to shoot it down. l thought this was Murica
Don’t know the exact laws on that but you can do it if you know how to do it while the camera on it is pointed away, how to keep your mouth shut to the cops, deny investigative entry without a warrant, and how to dispose of quickly.

what gets people is trouble with shooting down drones is some homeowner saying “Yeeeea I showt it down!! It’s on my propertee idnt it!!!”

I heard a podcast say it's technically an "aircraft" - which is ridiculous - so you can't shoot it down at this point.

They need to change the definition of what is an aircraft. I guess there was no such thing as a drone when that law was enacted.

I do own the air space above my home and private land, however, so if one is flying low in my air space, invading my privacy - I will probably shoot it down and take my chances. And obviously, bury it quickly and keep my mouth shut.**

I have talked with at least 5 people in Alcorn county that have told me they had huge drones appear over their houses. All were rural and the description sounded like a stealth drone and was dark colored. Most thought it was a UFO.

This was around 10 air miles from the Memphis airport. I didn’t really think much about it until I saw this thread. My best guess would be the Air National Guard practicing.

Reminds of a funny story where several years ago an old couple that still farmed and raised a few cows got tired of crop dusters scaring the cattle. He shot at one, didn't hit it. He said it was on his property. Cops came out and told him he couldn't shoot them because he didn't own the sky. He told them when he bought the place he owned as deep as he could dig and as high as he could shoot. And he was serious. They just told him don't shoot at them anymore and left.
