Why did the jet stop in Denver on the way to the game but not on the return trip? A fully fueled G5 has a flight range of 6500 miles.

Refueling at lower cost?

Dropping someone off?

You completely missed my point. However, I frankly think this whole discussion is horse shat. She's the president of the University, who really cares how she travels.

Nobody asked the obvious question so I will: how much did the flight cost?

I'll offer a couple of things for you folks to chew on (before you begin chewing on me). Not uncommon for a school traveling to a major bowl to charter a bunch of planes to transport the entire entourage. Part of that entourage are major donors who go at the school's expense. And typically the plane carrying these major donors also carries the president and a bunch of high muckety-mucks. Provides a captive audience for fund raising purposes.

Second, chartering a plane for a president and small retinue is probably not a great look for a school grappling with a nine figure annual deficit. At PSU, it's called leadering. Commence chewing.
