I am 74 but hopefully scam proof
I guess the secret would be to reach out to your finance person.

Sad thing is, the people who get scammed are those who can least afford it. (Because if you’re already comfortable you don’t need to revise what you’re already doing.)

i got a voice mail saying my 1/2 price Netflix account was coming to an end and i needed to respond to the number on my phone with a credit card for payment in order to keep my Netflix account.

i have never had a Netflix account

i guess, by virtue of getting the call, i am now "elderly" per @LionJim . 😠

Just got the saddest Christmas card I’ve ever read: “We got scammed and lost thousands. Merry Christmas.” Boy, that was a gut punch.
I read the card again. “We got bedbugs and we got scammed.”

Got an unsolicited gift of small ramekins and a candy dish with a bee painted on it through Amazon. A card included had a QR code for more information. A week ago I read about this new scam in the WSJ…free, cheap gifts appear with a QR code that once scanned infects everything. Many unsuspecting or greedy folks have been duped but not this 74 y.o. man.
