spent cold winter weekend cleaning out closet full of junk from when we moved here 9 years ago. You know "what do we do with this?" "oh just stuff I in there till we have time to sort it out". Well came across box of old ticket stubs from concerts including Jan 6 1974 at Spectrum Bob Dylan and the Band. Levon Helm drums set up right in middle of band and he was singing, totally blew my young mind. Was a great show and a great Band.........RIP..........

You, me, Will and his GF. Crazy afternoon. It was the first ever matinee at the Spectrum as they played a second show that evening. Train ride into Philly and a most memorable afternoon and evening.

RIP Garth.

That Lowell George show was another for the ages but of course, your ticket to see Marley may be the winner!

The term genius is overblown and overstated. Collectively for the Band and its members, it was appropriate. Tell your mates thanks for sharing your craft. Hope you all get along up there.

Some friends and I were pondering this question: If you could only listen to the musical catalog of one musical group for the rest of your life, including the solo work of the members of that group, who would you choose?

I chose The Band.

RIP gentlemen. You were gone too soon.
