Damn. I remember when I used to think 74 was old. RIP.
Meatloaf famously sang that he’d “do anything for love,” but he wouldn’t “do that.” What was the “that?”
bTW, I just read that he had a 3 1/2 octave vocal register (I.e., vocal range). That is frickin’ crazy.

Yea MTV is a complete waste but they still do make music videos.I miss the old days of music videos. I miss the old days of MTV when they actually played music.
I was a varsity tackle and a hell of a block, when I played my guitar I made the canyons rock. They are saying he got the name "Meatloaf" from his school football coach.
Heard an interview with him this AM....said he got it when he was 8 years old. The guy was awesome. Saw him at F&M in Lancaster in 79 or 80. I can remember the sweat coming off of his hair and hitting us in the face, we were right in front of the stage. Guy played for 2.5 hours...no warmup band. They are saying he got the name "Meatloaf" from his school football coach.
That’s funny. I used to know a guy that graduated high school with Mr. Loaf. Unfortunately haven’t seen him in about ten years. They are saying he got the name "Meatloaf" from his school football coach.
