I think it’s more about the ‘spirit’ of rock n’ roll than the actual performance of it. It probably does need a name chance though. After Foo Fighters/RHCP hang it up, rock music will be less relevant than ever.

Bit of a trailblazer I think, but sure, definitely a country artist. That said, she will be the only female performer inducted alongside other country acts Chet Atkins, Hank Williams, Jimmie Rogers, Bill Monroe, Floyd Cramer, Johnny Cash, and Bob Williams and his Texas Playboys.

Rock and Roll HOF has become a de facto Pop Music HOF. Plenty of genres in there besides rock. Based on that, she belongs. She’s a terrific songwriter and has become an American icon.
