Unfortunatelyt his society rushes to Judgment to Quickly

Shalom

The people in MLB who made the decision to screw this guy over knew better. They did it anyway. They cared more about "signaling their virtue" to the masses of ideologues than they did about being actual decent people.

They are, IMO. far worse than the gold-digging psycho and her attorneys.

Yep. Precisely why PC Manfred yanked the All Star game out of Atlanta over the “racist” Georgia election law which was less restrictive than the Delaware election law and resulted in the huge voter turnout. Not sure if Manfred is worse than Goodell's however. Suspended Elliott for 6 games despite the fact that the NFL’s investigator, a woman and the only person to interview Elliott and the alleged victim sent in a report which said she was not credible and recommended no punishment. But hey Goodell was going to prove the NFL was serious about domestic violence even where there wasn’t any to appease the MeToo zealots.

Additionally, people didn't like the guy and considered him a weirdo. Naturally, the press pushed that narrative all along with the necessary leading exaggerations and emphasis (innuendo). That made it even easier for "them" to set decency aside.

Wearing his hat backwards, while looking like he just rolled out of bed, certainly helps his credibility!!!

No idea what that even means.

I really know nothing about this story. Just wondering if there was another side. (doesn't seem to be)

Agree. not tracking the in-depth details behind anything re: Trevor Bauer, however it sounds like (from numerous posters) that there are additional issues. Can anyone speak to any specific issues as opposed to broad statements? I see something about women in ohio and one in AZ, but nothing has gone to trial and there have been no charges. Just allegations at this point. Then again, most of the articles when you search right now are in regards to this recent issue. Can someone give me some keywords to boolean?

Rush to judgment can work both ways. Rushing to brush aside accusations isn’t any more just than rushing to defend those accused. Bauer was/is a personality than many disliked. He openly bragged about never getting married and having sex with as many women as possible. I’m not saying he’s guilty. That’s not for me to figure out. All I’m saying is, Bauer didn’t do himself any favors with his brash, unsavory personality.

For those saying he was never convicted of a crime…neither was OJ.

FWIW. This an article from the original accuasations. Again, I have no dog in the fight here and don’t have any conclusive opinion on it. Just saying there are two sides to every story, and if any of what the article says is true, he’s a troubled individual. If it is all fabricated, then he has a legitimate defamation complaint.

Doesn’t the NFL have a bit of a history with domestic violence? Or violence in general off the field? The NFL attempted to get serious about it when guys like Ray Rice and Kareem Hunt were caught on camera abusing women. Prior to that, it was hush hush. Joe Mixon punched a girl in the face in college and still has an NFL gig, so they still aren’t that serious about it. The NFL wasn’t necessarily part of the Metoo movement, in my opinion, but rather was long overdue to clean up their act off the field.
