My old Jeep has the dimmer on the floorboard and a manual choke on the dash. Wife’s grocery getter has a primitive anti theft device, a clutch and a five speed!

our old F150 that had the dimmer switch also had a deer’s nutsack over the 4-wheel drive gear shift. It was always funny to explain to people why our shifter was fur.

I would still tight roll my jeans, but I really can't wear jeans any more as they sag too much.

Chryslers had the push button gear shift and there was also a lever that you pushed up or down to put it in park. It was on the left side of the steering wheel so kids couldn't reach over and start changing gears by pushing buttons. Rambler may have had the same thing but I know Chryslers did.
He passed away when I was very young, so I don't remember the car too well. I know it was rare then; at least there weren't many on the road.

I remember the day you could hide because there were no cell phones or cell towers. Parents today would go OKinsane if they knew where you were.

The first election was Reagan, but I remember the Carter years very well.

My 1st Saints game was in 1972 at the old Tulane Stadium when JD Roberts was the coach. Archie was QB, it was a loss to the Packers in the final game of the year. It was 12/17/72 and it was an early Christmas present to me.

Mine has the same thing. It also doesn't have power steering, a heater, a radio, or doors. My gas tank is directly underneath the driver's seat.

I remember my uncle having a Rambler. Now, I think it was a Rambler. I really don't remember well except for one distinct feature. It had a gearshift with buttons on the dash. When you wanted to put the car into gear, you had to push one of the buttons on the dashboard. My mother's first car was a 1972 Dodge Dart, which she drove until the wheels came off. They don't make cars like that anymore.
This is the Chrysler one I remember and actually drove a time or two. Our preachers wife had one and I drove it

* This is my 64th consecutive year of attending Bulldog football games.
* I watched Bulldog baseball before Duty Noble was in its current location.
* I attended many basketball games in the old gym.
* I saw what was left of Old Main Dorm the morning after it burned.
* I remember when Jack Cristil was a young man.
* we dialed rotary phones and talked on party lines.
* We watched black and white tv because there was no color tv.
* all we had was AM radio.
* Life was good and people were much kinder and respectful of each other.

In the summer before my 9th grade year I attended Bob Boyd Basketball Camp. Richard Williams was the director. He was an *******.
I was there with you. Summer before my 9th grade year too. Can confirm. Richard Williams was the absolute worst. He did find me wondering around at the Hump looking for where I was supposed to be (I was supposed to be at McCarthy) and gave me a ride over in his new Firebird. He asked where I was from, then started asking me about a high school player from there. The real reason for the camps.

We went to my grandparents house because they had the fancy color tv. Of course the images from the moon were black & white.
Not quite that old, but I enjoyed trips to the grandparents because they lived in town and had cable. Could watch WCW, the Cubs, and the Braves at their house.

Different direction, but dimmed headlights using the switch in the floorboard.
I own a 1979 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with the dimmer switch on the floorboard. I never use it though as I like to keep my brights on, not because I'm an *******, it's because these old lights are dimmer than my golf carts.

I saw Spook Murphy’s Memphis Tigers beat us at Scott Field in 1962, 28-7. The South Farm was still a farm. Who said they were old?

I remember the day my Dad brought home a new 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Who said they were old?

I remember when WW II vets were still young men. Who said they were old?

Ditto on my 64 , although I did find a hard top and doors years ago. Had it blasted and powder coated, new glass, new seals and gaskets, even new tracks for the roll up windows. Never have put it on! Mine does have the original cruise control. It came factory equipped with a PTO winch so there is a pull type throttle in the dash.

As a young kid, I used to watch the following shows all in a row on the same night: Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Three's Company, and Soap.

I was also a fan of Charlie's Angels.

Now that I think about it, I think that was summer before 8th grade for me. They were building the upper deck west side and the skeleton was up. I think that was summer “84. The next year it was Bulldog Basketball Camp, and Williams was head coach.
