I’m not saying I believe in baseball gods, but I will tell you that after we won Game 2 against Vandy, I woke up the next morning and washed my clothes from the night before at an Omaha Hampton Inn so that I could wear the same shirt for Game 3, just to be safe.

They are definitely real.

Like others have said, when things are going good, stay with it . . . don't change anything.

This applies to other sports too.

For example, in basketball, when a player hits two 3-pointers on consecutive possessions, you should look to feed him the ball on the next trip down the court. If I were coach, I might even run a play for him to get him open.

This is very basic stuff.

Common sense . . . or, it should be.
