Drinkwitz met Heupel at midfield and said “We stand on business, Josh” then turned quickly and walked away.

Is there a beef I’m not aware of there? Heupel has seemed fairly innocuous since he’s been at UT.

Since i strongly dislike Tennessee and Auburn I am okay with it, but it is a very poor example to the younger audience and to the football team on how to behave. Tennessee started this mess with running up the score against Missouri last season.

Yeah. Josh treated the poorly last year. I’m liking drink more and more. He’s a poor man’s HBC with a more punchable face.

I dont care for either one but from things I read and hear, Huepel is not very well liked by many SEC coaches. I read where he and Beamer dont care for each other, Drink doesnt like him, wonder who does. Now I know Stopps and Beamer have issues but really that one is on Stoops for his mouth.

I have heard the same about Heupel. He looks like a sanitation worker standing on the sideline.

I thought people getting butt hurt over "running up the score" was a thing of the past. It's not my job to stop my team from scoring.

In any event, it was kind of a sissy move to talk like a big man but run off before Heupel had a chance to respond. If you're gonna be a big man, stand there and be a big man.

I read it as more he didn't want to grace his presence for any longer than it took to let him hear about it.

Looks to me like someone who screwed up all his courage up to say something, but was too afraid to stay and take it like a man.

We don't know what the beef was. It could've been something Bobby Hill didn't even start face to face. Men like that don't deserve the respect. I can think of a few situations where I'd turn my back to add to the insult.

I wonder if there has ever been an occasion when coaches have been reduced to fisticuffs at midfield?

my thoughts as well. Anyone have context as to what “we stand on business” means?
Some people talk a big game, others play it. Must've been negative recruiting. He was basically telling Heupel he didn't appreciate something that showed a lack of respect for mizzou and he basically said "you talked about it and we beat you."

Ok Boomers….stand on business simply means they take care of business. It means you do what is necessary.

That was clearly a response to UT scoring a TD from the 2 yd line with 30 seconds left to win 66-24 last year.
