I hear they're making a Fallout TV show for Amazon. That could be amazingly scary and/or hilarious.
Metal Gear could use a screen adaptation just to make sense of the damn thing. I liked many of the games but the way Kojima tells stories is incredibly confusing. Never played Destiny. Have played a handful of the Final Fantasy games, I could see them doing an animated version for streaming but I think a live action one might be a big leap for fans of the games.
If true they better include Snake sneaking around in a cardboard box or the fans are going to riot.Supposedly an MGS movie in the works with Oscar Isaac to star. Destiny too (since Bungie has been acquired by Sony).
Was there anything else to that game? I remember it being super-hyped and well-reviewed, so I bought it ... and it was just waiting, and waiting, and waiting ... so when you got to be under the cardboard box it was a (sad) highlight. Don't remember anything else about it, other than I didn't play it much. Don't remember any real story that could be made into a movie. Maybe I'm just blocking it out.If true they better include Snake sneaking around in a cardboard box or the fans are going to riot.
Which game? There are many Metal Gear games going all the way back to the original NES system. Some were significantly better than others. Was there anything else to that game? Metal Gear Solid. The first "solid" ... the legendary "best game ever" one.Which game? There are many Metal Gear games going all the way back to the original NES system. Some were significantly better than others.

I think it's Thandiwe nowThandie Newton
I guess it was always her name but her name was misspelled in her first filmHad no idea.
Its kind of streaming since its on AMC and then goes to AMC+ but I am really liking the Mayfair Witches. The latest episode of The Last of Us may join the pantheon of amazing series episodes such as Ozymandiias from Breaking Bad and Pine Barrens from The Sopranos, IMO. This series is way different from other apocalyptic shows.
Mayfair Witches is ok but Alexandra Daddario’s acting leaves a lot to be desired IMO.Its kind of streaming since its on AMC and then goes to AMC+ but I am really liking the Mayfair Witches.
Yea she is not what I envisioned when I read the book(s), much more powerful in the books.Mayfair Witches is ok but Alexandra Daddario’s acting leaves a lot to be desired IMO.
Started Poker Face on Peacock. Starring Natasha Lyonne as a Vegas cocktail waitress with a past of being a card shark and an ability to tell when someone is lying. Rian Johnson involved (Knives Out) and a plethora of stars in various episodes 9Adrien Brody, Benjamin Bratt, Chloe Sevignettes Ron Perlman, etc. Sounds like a Columbo on the run kind of vibe As Charlie, the main character, is not your run of the mill person. We shall see how it is, episode 1 sets up the ‘journey”.
Plus they used a Donald Fagen song as a fade out in episode 2, The Goodbye Look. I’m starting to dig this show, plus Cliff from Cheers is in Episode 2!Think Rian Johnson wrote/directed episodes so "heavily" involved....(a good thing).
+1. I liked the first part a lot. 2nd part was a little more focused on how the Eagles came to be. I had no idea Glen Fry and Don Henley were in the Stone Ponies for a hot second. The Flying Burito Brothers and Graham Parker in the Byrds was interesting. Also watched Laurel Canyon two part doc on Prime. I had seen Echo in The Canyon prior and this two parter was fantastic.
If you are a music fan, you will revel in this doc about the incredible music scene and collection of talent that lives and made music in the 60’s-70’s in Laurel Canyon.
Poignant given the recent passing of David Crosby who was a huge part of that scene.
I was looking for something last night and tried Wolf Pack on Paramount+. I'll give it one more episode but it was pretty bad.Started Poker Face on Peacock. I haven't watched episode 3 yet but I finally saw the first 2 and was pretty impressed. Very true to the game so far, down to the setting and buildings where key events take place and some of the dialog is verbatim from the game. This is really refreshing when you compare it to something like Resident Evil which doesn't really resemble the games at all. The introduction to the clickers in the museum was awesome. They are going through some of the big plot events quickly, I didn't expect the big event that happened in episode 2 to take place for another episode or 2. I do expect quite a bit of deviation when they get to Bill, given how much they are talking about that character already. Bill didn't have a very big role in the games. The latest episode of The Last of Us may join the pantheon of amazing series episodes such as Ozymandiias from Breaking Bad and Pine Barrens from The Sopranos, IMO. Was this relationship part of the video game or something new for the show? Nick Offerman is always great.Agreed - watched it last night and just blown away by the shift in focus and the effort to really world build. Don't want to spoil anything but I was definitely moved and crushed by the end of the episode - wonderful storytelling and acting and really a mini-movie within the show. Just top notch stuff all around.

Frank existed in the game only via a single letter to Bill. So any content with him is pretty much building off of that. Some inferences could be drawn from that letter but it was mostly up to the player to form their own story. I haven't watched the episode yet but figured based on casting someone as Frank and getting a well known actor as Bill meant that they were going to expand on the letter in the game by quite a bit.Was this relationship part of the video game or something new for the show? The letter and a little context on what Bill says when given the letter: https://thelastofus.fandom.com/wiki/Note_from_Frank
Gotta say I never took you for a gamerBill was in the game and had a partner who died previously; he was sort of your 'supply guy' in the game. They changed and built out the relationship for the show and I think it was terrific.
Looks like Wakanda Forever drops today on Disney+Also watched Laurel Canyon two part doc on Prime. I had seen Echo in The Canyon prior and this two parter was fantastic.

Been gaming since Atari/ColecoVision; currently play on PS5. Don’t do it much - mostly casual and never finished Last of Us.
Pretty much the same for me, although I was more into the NES than Atari and ColecoVision, but played those as well. I built a Retropie so I could keep playing those old games.Been gaming since Atari/ColecoVision; currently play on PS5. Don’t do it much - mostly casual and never finished Last of Us.
Yes there's a very brief but funny scene in the game with Ellie asking Joel about a magazine she found at Bill's.I've read that, in the game, you can find gay porn mags in the truck, so that ties it all together.

Eh, I just got around to watching this series, and I found that episode very derivative of what The Walking Dead (and its offspring) often did, taking a break from moving the story forward to dedicate an episode to a character's pre-TWD backstory, or explaining what they did when they went missing/went on a journey in the past. The latest episode of The Last of Us may join the pantheon of amazing series episodes such as Ozymandiias from Breaking Bad and Pine Barrens from The Sopranos, IMO.
