OT: Undercover Reporter

I haven’t troubled myself too much with the details of this story, but it sounds like this guy met a girl on Hinge, and she was an undercover reporter, and she recorded all this stuff from their date, and now he’s suspended. The headlines are focused on the guy and the NFL, but it seems incredibly 17ed up to me that this even happened? Reporters on Hinge to get the scoop?

Most of America needs to be reminded there's a powerful subset of decision-makers in all venues with a dramatically different set of values who think everyone with different viewpoints is stupid, and acts accordingly in pushing agendas.
However, singling out one guy to torpedo wasn't the way to do it...find more so you can show a pattern and make it enough you can expose them anonymously.

Man, I don't know what you're talking about. When I was in my early 20's I would have made a full time lifestyle outta using dating apps had they existed. I was doing everything I could to knock em down from age 20-25... I would have loved to have gotten more with better technology.

It's just efficiency. Unfortunately the only tech we had was eHarmony which seemed less about hooking up with a girl who might throw down and way more about finding a nice Pentecostal girl to take to the county livestock sale.

The only thing I've seen from them before this involved actual matters of public concern. Generally find some thirsty guy (straight or not) that will spill the beans on internal government stuff because somebody out of their league has agreed to go out on a few dates.

This basically doesn't reveal anything that people didn't generally already know (the NFL just cares about money; everything else is virtue signaling; belief that homosexuality is wrong is still pretty prevalent among african americans). The guy is pretty contemptuous of NFL players, ownership, and fans, and it's really stupid to broadcast that to anybody that's not your spouse, and even with your spouse that's probably better off unsaid, but there's nothing particularly newsworthy or interesting about that. I can get blasting a midlevel government employee that holds the american government and separation of powers in contempt, as that kind of attitude and how prevalent it is probably does contribute a lot of the abuses by federal, state, and local governments. But messing with a private employees' life because it would slighlty embarrass the NFL if its owners had any shame? Just ******.
