Tuesday (6/25) was the birthday of the late, great, Harry Womack. He was the bassist of the Womack Brothers, which Sam Cooke convinced to change their name to The Valentinos. He died in 1974, so it's tough to find videos of him. I'm not sure if that's him on the bass behind the drummer in the below video.

I was generally not a fan except for this one which I never tire of.

I had to do an aerobics routine with a group of classmates to that damn song my senior year of high school in my PE class. Teacher recorded the routines and showed them during the health portion of class. She zoomed in on me once and it happened to be at the moment when I was focusing on the feet of my attractive female classmate to ensure I followed the proper footwork, with my tongue hanging out. Unfortunately for me, it appeared as though I was staring at her *** with my tongue hanging out. I took heat for that up to my graduation day.
All that to say, I hated this song before that and I hate it even more now.

Can’t say I could identify any of her songs, but I thought she was great when she hosted SNL a few years ago.

could have been. I was laughing while I posted that. She's a big star, so she deserved to be mentioned, but I am so out of my element on this one. I couldn't name a song she sang, and was too lazy to ask my daughter for her picks.

It was a great SNL episode. At least one the best I e seen in the last ten years or so. There a good skit where she played frauleain Maria in a Sound of Music skit.

So good. Mick Taylor only played on two tracks on this LP - this one, and Live With Me.
