The fact that Weird Al has managed to carve a 40-year career out of doing what he does makes me happy for reasons I can't quite explain. Individually, his parodies aren't really even that funny but there's something about the cumulative silliness of his output that just makes me laugh whenever I hear one.

I remember hearing "My Bologna" on Dr. Demento way back in '79. Never, ever could've imagined that he'd still be a thing in 2022.

This is the song that made Devo jealous that Weird Al pulled off the sound that they had been striving to achieve.

Weird Al is doing a show in Williamsport next week. Saw him back in the 80s when he opened for the Monkees at the Mann in Phila. He puts on a great show.

I think this movie will be brilliant. Basically, it’s the retelling of Al’s life as if he was a heavy drinking, brawling, ladies man. In reality, it’s a super quiet Christian guy. That in and of itself is a funny set up.
