I don't "want" to feel old. It just seems to happen.

Here are a few more:

1. Two of the kids in the movie "School of Rock" are getting married to each other. That movie was released in 2003.
2. I just turned 60 and I ran into a couple my age that just became great grandparents. (start 'em early I guess).
3. Here in 2025, we are further away in time from Penn State's 1982 National Championship than people in 1982 were from the time when the United States entered WW2.
4. The actress who played Winnie Cooper just turned 50.

One more

The Jetsons TV show first aired in 1962, and was supposedly set in 2062 - 100 years into the future. We are 63 years removed from the first airing, but only 37 years from the timeframe it was supposedly set in.
(I am waiting for the Spacely Sprockets IPO).

That was much more common 30+ years ago, my grandmother had a kid at 19, 1st grandkid at 42, 1st great grandkid at 68. I would bet most of our parents were married by 22 or so and having kids right away, same with their parents. They just got a job at 18 and started life. Now people go to school and work on their careers before worrying about a family. I didnt have kids until 40 and now I hope to be able to see my grandchildren.

I am 60 and don't have kids. Therefore no grand kids or great grand kids.

This forces me to be my own child. Sometimes when I act up, I have to put myself on time out.

This is what you are up against. Self-imposed timeouts. I have kids and I do them as well or I yell at clouds like a crazy man.

W.H. Auden:

But all the clocks in the city
Began to whirr and chime:
“O let not Time deceive you.
You cannot conquer Time.

“In headaches and in worry
Vaguely life leaks away
And Time will have his fancy
Tomorrow or today.”

Sometimes I threaten myself to cut myself out of my own will.
That'll teach me!

I watch too many reaction videos I guess. Watching youngins' react to the #1 hits each month of the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's. They all cite the 80's as easily the best. They prefer Whitney Houston and George Michael to Three Dog Night and BTO.

It makes me sad.

I went to high school with people who got married shortly after graduating from college and had their first kids by the time they were 27. Those kids did something similar and, just like that, people in their mid-50s are grandparents. I'm 62, and my one and only is a 19-year-old college sophomore. I trust my wife and son will tell my grandchildren about me.

Another more morbid realization of your age is when kids you went to elementary school start to die and not from accidents - one of my friends from that time just died of early onset alzeimers - very sad.

I am 64 with a freshman at PSU and a 22 year old who just finished college at home. Retriement what retirement.

I’m 50 years out of high school and 15% of my graduating class has passed away.

Expecting my first grandchild in May.

That had been My worst nightmare.
Fixed. Last April I got dual cataract and LASIK surgery, gone from 20/800 to 20/20. A load off my mind.

I’m told that I was lucky not to have gone blind as well. (Spinal meningitis in kindergarten.) That would have sucked.

Interesting thing: if you ask a deaf person if they’d rather be deaf or blind, their choice, they all pick being deaf. Blind people, they all pick being blind. Just throwing that out here.

My brother's daughter, and three of my cousin's kids that I am close to.

They are already fighting over the Miata.
I have yet to see a picture and the glimpses you give on here about your size, I’d prefer to see you in it, maybe top down with your golf clubs in shotgun
