I recall pushing for Josh Heupel to be hired after Muschamp got fired. One person did not like the fact that Heupel kind of resembled Brad Scott. Another (Battleship Texas) repeatedly said Heupel would be a bad hire. After Heupel produced one Top 10 and one Top 20 team there, he said that it was Heupel's personality, not his coaching ability he had in mind. Well, today, Heupel has Tennessee again ranked in the Top 10 in his 4th season there. I would not care if Beamer is a SOB. If Beamer could produce like Heupel, I'd be VERY happy.

I suspect he will retire for good after this season. If they replace him with Chadwell, that would be a smart move for them.

There's talk that Florida may go after Eli Drinkwitz if Napier is fired. That would be smart as well.
