I was looking at that last night.

I had 7-5 preseason and we went 8-4 with the win over Ole Miss.

What game do you think we missed - predicting a loss when it turned out to be a win?

I had us beating LSU but losing 2 out of A&M, Arkansas, and Kentucky.

8-4 with losses to #1 Georgia, and top ten LSU and Alabama on the road. Uk is the #5 defense in the sec, was ranked and on the road. We were playing without sharp and Johnson.

you can’t ask for any better season given the schedule. 7-5/8-4 is where most were before the season , that was about right. If we win nine you have to take your hat off.

strength of schedule is huge. Ole miss wins their first seven cupcakes and loses four of their last five when their schedule got real.

next year we get a much easier schedule and ole miss gets a much harder schedule. What would ole miss record be this year if they had Georgia instead of Vandy ? If they played uk on the road instead of at home ? They would be 2-6 in the sec and 6-6 on the year. Tell Me again how great Kiffin is.

I had us 8-4 with win @ky and loss @Ole Miss

I also said and still believe we were a 10-2 team with a 6-6 schedule. It's easy to talk **** about Arkansas and A&M now but at the time those games were toss ups.

At the end of the day 10-2 gets us to Atlanta this year and we had a 4th quarter lead in 1 loss and a 3rd quarter lead in another. That my friends is progress!

I had 6-6 maybe 7-5 if I remember right. I did say if things went really well, we could get 8 or 9 wins but I didn't really envision eight wins this season with the schedule we had. To be honest, we had a really big roller coaster ride in the SEC the season for teens going from the top 10 back down the polls then completely out.

Trivia : Which team started at 8 - 0, ranked in the top 10, and lost its last four games to finish 8 - 4 and will probably be unranked?

Kiffin is probably an above average coach. Nevertheless, the media has created an image that he may not be able to match. He's the golden boy to some sportswriters, almost as if he was a celebrity of some sort and this 17ing country is taken with celebrity.

Kiffin is heading to Auburn. His relationship with the media has taken a big hit. He could succeed or fail but the pressure will be on.
