Since this means that the Big 12 is staying together (at least for now), Baylor will probably drop its threat of litigation. I expect to see a formal announcement shortly.<div>

“After careful review we have determined that it is in the best interests of our member institutions, student-athletes and fans to remain a 12-team conference,” Commissioner Larry Scott said in a statement. “While we have great respect for all of the institutions that have contacted us, and certain expansion proposals were financially attractive, we have a strong conference structure and culture of equality that we are committed to preserve.”

He's basically saying that they are leaving well enough alone.

"Since Texas wants more money than anybody else in the conference, their own TV Network, and immediate ball suckage from us....we declined their admittance." And of course Texas always states they want to keep the Big12 together, they get like 5 times what other schools get in revenue.

The PAC-12 controls ALL media rights for all of its schools and the revenue is shared equally. Texas wouldn't agree to put the Longhorn Network under PAC-12 control or share the revenue, so the PAC-12 said 17 you Texas. You're not coming unless its under our terms. And Oklahoma, sorry but without Texas we're really not that interested in you any more either.

Oklahoma can say that their movement to another conference doesn't depend on Texas as much as they want, but if they want in the Pac-12...they need Texas. The only conference that will take them without Texas is probably the B1G and they're currently sitting on their hands right now.

What's next, do they follow what Ok. has put forth...change the commissioner, control activities related to LHN, and start sharing revenue?

Or does this soap opera continue?

Otherwise, Texas will have little option but to go independent, and I don't think they really want to do that.
I can see them getting a cold shoulder from local teams for awhile.

until they play fair. Which they will never do. I can't see OU, OSU, and Mizzou to put up with this crap forever. If they do, its their own fault. What I don't understand is why Texas thinks the extra money makes them that much better. They already get all 5* recruits across the board. They already have a giagantic budget. All this shows their true colors to the nation, something A&M and the rest of Texas has know for decades. Pure arrogance.
