Yeah. Levon Chisley. 🤷‍♂️

Bad characters wind up at all kinds of programs. I imagine it’s tough because coaches want to see the good in kids. It’s convenient when they’re good players and also speaks to the altruism of being a coach and helping develop kids.
I’m not denying this. You posted that Urban didn’t have baggage. He most certainly did. Hernandez, Harvin, the Pouncey bros, etc were known to not be choir boys. This is how Urban won at UF. He didn’t care about character or getting in trouble. He wanted the best players period and didn’t try to hide it.

How much appetite does Pat have for all of these juicy allegations to play out in public? Allegations seem credible so his best defense is ‘I didn’t know.’ That typically does not work out well for people who are supposed to be in charge….
He will be paid handsomely

He’ll get a settlement. It’s America. The most litigious country in the world. Everyone gets a settlement.
Wrong. We are the fifth most litigious country in the world, after four other representative democracies and in front of other democratic countries. It's how civilized folks settle differences. If you prefer other models where people are either without recourse or shot, consider the alternatives.

Well, NW is probably wrong. They hired an outside consultant, found the coach did nothing wrong, but as a PR move negotiated a slap on the wrist. If Fitz claim is correct, nothing changed but the media storm, he is correct in that NW had already had a binding agreement and that he did not violate his contract. Therefore, he's owed the money.

I don't know, I wasn't there, but I certainly understand the lawsuit.

Not saying I prefer or want what third world countries do. However, we live in a society where a dumbass can spill hot coffee on themselves and then sue the entity that gave it to them because it had to be their fault. This kind of BS wastes taxpayer dollars and valuable judicial system time.

It doesn’t matter who’s wrong or right here, he’ll get a settlement to make it go away.

Right. And this is as it should be. There is a contractual dispute between the two parties. They hired lawyers and they'll work it out.

That "dumbass" was an elderly woman who was served super heated coffee because at normal temps the coffee turned to sludge. She had skin graft surgeries to her vaginal area. Read up on it to understand how a jury of her peers thought the case was meritorious.

There are industry standards for serving hot food because humans have accidents. McDonalds chose to violate them.

My apologies for using this as an example. It was a bad example but the first one that came to my mind. Maybe these are more appropriate?

Granted, there are crazy folks who bring nutty concerns to lawyers and there are lawyers who are even more crazy to pursue such claims. But I can tick off every constitutional right, starting with the First Amendment and Second Amendment, and show you abuses. It's the downside of a free society.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that this story is over yet. Fitzgerald might want to think this through a little more.

Another thing to bear in mind is that Northwestern is a private school. Private schools tend to be more aggressive about defending their reputations. I don't know how that will factor into their thinking. They might be willing to pay him to go away or they might decide to totally ruin his reputation and make him the fall guy.

Time will tell.

A jury also thought OJ didn’t do it.

Just sayin’
